1. great applause for the german government that has closed 2 old nuclear reactors
it's still too little but i hope it's a beginning
  2. Good, but it doesnt solve all problems see the BP issue of last year.
  3. BP is a refinery, is it?
sure it does not solve the problems but it's a commendable initiative .. stil too much nuke in Europe and all around the world
in the next months we should have a referendum here in Italy
  4. Yeah the one that spilled 'some' oil in the gulf of mexico last year
  5. The odds of a nuclear accident happening are heavely overstated.
  6. You don't think what has already happened is a "nuclear incident"?
  7. True, but admit it: it is easy to say when you are halve the world away

Problem is that coal mining (lots and lots of people got sick from that!) and oil isnt safe either. Until solar power can provide everyone enough energy we have to live with these dangerous forms of energy. All we can do is make it as safe as possible.
  8. And even electricity is dangerous

  9. Going off the scale used, this is even less than 3 mile island.

uhm there is not only solar energy, there are also other alternative energies such as geothermical, water, wind (you ought to know well the last there in Netherlands ).
it's fake they can't substitute oil gas and nuclear .. they could be ready to go, it's only that don't match economical and political interests .. like always

  11. I don't know what scale you're talking about, but the Japanese Government took what's happening to a 6 on the scale where 7 is Chernobyl.
