1. I would rather face a thousand honest death threats, than have one person pretend to respect my views, who does not. Hate is part of the human experience. To try to deny it is how utopia future gone wrong sci-fi novels start.

  2. Most (if not alll) of that horrendous stuff happened in a bigger extent in mainland Europe, mostly by the Nazis. And it's better docummented, not only based on testimonies after many years. Anyway, it's disgusting, repulsive and despicable.

By the way, what do you think of the United States giving immunity to those monsters, only to get hold of their revolving knowledge? Equally despicable in my opinion.
  3. Russians did it to bro. Remember, the space programs of both countries, where almost entirely originally made up of Nazis. Remember as Chris pointed out, while the methods where despicable, German, and Japanese war crimes did yield alot of usable information.
  4. Libs are blaming the right for the failure of Detroit. This makes no sense, as the left has controlled the city for over 50 years.

But you aren't Russian, are you? I was asking for your/anybody's opinion on the US doing that.

  6. Honestly I could care less. Do you feel personally responsible for the Spanish inquisition? I think not.
  7. I don't feel proud to be Spanish at all
  8. I know, Flamenco guitar is the worst thing to happen to music prior to Justin Beiber, lol.

Ah, but those are the best sci-fi novels.

I'd say that's two sides of the same coin - death threat vs lack of respect is just two different ways to express an intolerance but fair enough.

Hate is only part of the human experience because we let it become so - I'm not denying it, simply trying to find a way to challenge and overcome it. We're animals who've developed the ability to understand our instincts rather than just live them and let them drive our actions (although they may), thus I'd say that gives us the ability to not hate. The fact that we don't (and furthermore don't realise how much it'd probably be better for us in the long run) just makes it all the more galling. By its nature, hate comes through a lack of understanding and tolerance of others, but those are the very things that can overcome it. Again, so galling.

Anyway, here endeth the lesson - unlikely to happen, I grant you, as hate has a strong connection with power and power... oh how humanity does love power.

I get the feeling you see it as a pointless notion, and to some extent, yes, I'd agree, but that doesn't mean one can't try and challenge it. Better out than in, etc.

  11. "If you are for gun control, then you're not against guns, because the guns will be needed to disarm people. You'll need to go around, pass laws, and shoot people who resist, kick in doors, and throw people in jail, and so on; rip up families, just to take away guns. So it's not that you're anti-gun, because [...] you'll need the police's guns to take away other people's guns, so you're very pro-gun, you just believe that only the government (which is of course so reliable, honest, moral, virtuous, and forward-thinking</sarcasm>) should be allowed to have guns. So there's no such thing as gun control, there's only centralizing gun ownership in the hands of a small political elite and their minions. Gun control is a misnomer." - Stefan Molyneux
