1. It does seem likely it was the regime this time.

I wish we could have helped the opposition better when they were protesters, or at least the rebels before Al-Qaida really infiltrated them. Way too many are now extremists and don't give a shit about the reason this started. The desire for freedom.
  2. It seems that the start of the war might be a matter of hours. US aircraft carriers in the Mediterranean Sea are just about to start bombing selected targets in Syria.
  3. The real question. Why does Obama want war with Syria? Especially one, which has the potential to bloom into a major regional conflict? Hell, it has the potential to start WW3.

Thing is, I have no idea, what hes getting out of it. Every war ever started, someone had something to gain, but not here.

BTW, lay off the anti-U.S. conspiracy theories bro. They kill your credibility. You're letting your bias show way to much.
  4. Only thing I can think of is he must be doing it to take attention away from his many failings as a president.
  5. That or to raise domestic pensions to the point where he can declare martial law, in which case, it was a pleasure annoying you guys, cause I'll be dead, or in prison inside a week. ( I don't think this will actually happen, but I'm, running out of theories.)

  6. As if Romney would have done a better job already.
  7. Typical left wing tactic. When in doubt, insult, and marginalize those you do not agree with. BTW, it don't matter, that he may or may not have done any better. What is important, is that, I seriously doubt he would have managed to divide the country to the point it is now.
  8. I agree with that last statement. But maybe the right has something to do with it, don't you think? Nobody has insulted anyone by the way.

Anyway, I think this is one of the few wars where there's nothing to gain, and it begins just for the sake of honestly protecting civils. The thing is that starting a war is NEVER the right way to do things.
  9. If you want to start a war for the sole purpose of protecting civilians (pointless, since civilians get killed everyday in places like Darfur), do it early. Don't wait for the death toll to be so high.

And it ain't the job of the U.S. gov to protect foreign civilians.
