1. Ron Paul will never be president though for a simple reason. Too many of our countrymen need the government to help wipe there ass.

Look at what faith in government did to the people in New Orleans, and Japan.

  3. At least the Japanese have a sense of honor and respect. Can you imagine the looting, and chaos if something like that happened in America.

After Huricane Katrina, I made a promise to myself. That if I was ever in that kind of situation, I would never be the guy standing on the roof with a help sign. That I'd be the guy, who requisitions, a boat, rope first-aid supplies, and possibly a shotgun for self-defense, and saves everyone I can. Your more likely to get saved by that guy, than by waiting for the military helicopter that may or may not come.

  4. Japan? Situation there is perfect as it gets in situation like this. In ANY other country in the world there would be chaos and anarchy in a matter of minutes.

Yeah, they were really honest about that reactor.

  6. I didn't say that they were completely honest, but you have to know that in the time of crisis of that proportions governments function in different ways. Decisions have to be quick and in the same time they CAN'T be perfect. Not in situation like this. Informing people is one of the most difficult things in the time of crisis. Sometimes you have to say 'light' version of truth to prevent anarchy and panic that can lead to even bigger shit. I'm not saying that's fair to the people, I'm just saying that situation was and is extremely difficult and who knows how would we act in their position...

Those people have an amazing way about them, a dignity and a restraint.
I will deny them no Honour.

My sympathies are with those people, my heart and soul is with them, and with my friend in Tokyo having to be around people grieving but unable to display their grief.

I'm just taking a traditionalist American reproach when I say, if you were in a situation like this (living near water) - prepared for disaster and were skeptical to the reliability of government you'd do a better job for yourself than any government agency, scrambling in from miles away, could ever do.
