1. For anyone who hasn't seen it, I recorded and uploaded the announcement.

    Took ages

    Thanks for the video too.
  3. I have to say that Bin Laden's death is a huge lost for Al Qaeda, but it will not end the terrorism threat. I'm affraid this will bring more and more violence around the world.

Let's pray for peace and hope things end well for everybody who wants peace.

  4. An analyst on CNN declared that the US won the war against al qaeda.....so, that's good news, I guess?

  5. I guess the war is not over, but a huge battle was won.
  6. Can you smell the scent of the History being written right now? I do. What a piece of news!
  7. so glad that that dirty muzzie is finally dead

don't get me wrong, i have nothing against islam and muslim people - quite often they are the nicest people out - but i do hate that stinking muslim and all those scumbags who call themselves al qaeda
to the troops and the people behind this victory for the west
  8. Wow, how unexpected. 10 years in the making. It's amazing to think how this one man has shaped the 21st century. In many ways the current US & global economic crisis wouldn't exist (or wouldn't be as bad) if not for 9/11

It's deeply ironic that the actions of the US actually did more damage than Al-Qaeda could ever do themselves - the Iraq War has cost the US something like a trillion $s, the lives of 4,750 Coalition troops, a hundred thousand Iraqi civilians and the credibility of the US.

And now thinking back through all of this makes me feel old
  9. You people really think this is big news?! It's like killing one general in enemy's army. Of course Al'Quaeida will continue to function, and maybe become even more aggressive.

On the other side, Bin Laden family has been big friends with Bush family, so.

True, it's more a symbolic thing than anything likely to make a material difference.

In fact it'll probably just spur on Muslim extremism seeing as the US just made him a martyr

You write stuff like, "so glad that that dirty muzzie is finally dead," and, "i do hate that stinking muslim," and then claim to, 'have nothing against islam and muslim people." Language like that just makes you look like a contradictory, ignorant cunt, you know?

  12. Exactly. And that's what worries me because USA never does anything without some plan in their pocket. Let's face it, USA financed both Saddam and Bin Laden.

In next few years I expect another attack a la Pearl Harbour or 9/11 to back up another war against somebody.
