1. Absolutely +1 , I don't know how I could forget it There are lots of Swedish girls in Spain all the time, specially during Summer...

  2. I'd have to say that quite many of them are beautiful I think some kind of poll or something established that Swedish girls are the most beautiful
  3. On the notion of democracy, there is nowhere in the world that is a truly functional democracy. Anyone who claims the UK is a true democracy is misguided in my opinion, as is anyone who says that about the US or anywhere else - anywhere where public opinion isn't truly transposed/reflected by the distribution of power amongst the controlling element = a failed attempt at it. That said, I'd rather live in what we have at the moment than the alternatives that have tried and failed over the past. I can't stand the current government we have here, but I'd take it any day over the monarchies of the past. Just a UK-centric perspective.

In fact, the UK system would be near to perfect if the head of state was a chosen person instead of a birth-designed one. Your electoral system is not that bad (there are even better ones, though), and your institutions work pretty good (from a foreigner's point of view of course)... But yep, I agree: nothing is perfect, although Democracy is the closest you can get to a perfect form of government.

Maybe we should create a "Countries" topic to carry on the discussion in, we're moving beyond politics I'll have to ask one of you to do it, since I'm on my iPod
  7. Unnecesary. It can be talked and discussed in this thread, thanks

    Good night!

  9. Okay, nice double posts by me. I don't know what happened to my internet there, but it couldn't load a single page.

I agree that it would be improved with an elected head of state. I disagree on the electoral system in so far as yes, it's not as bad as it could be but it should be better, but won't be because there are so many conceited little bastards in the halls of power with their fingers in so many pies (on both the left and the right) who like the system the way it is. But yeah, I think it's fair to say that democracy is as good a system as has been devised yet.
  11. We forgot a fact about Sweden.

    The suicide rate.
  12. In my studies, I have come to a startling conclussion. Liberals think they shoulnd't have to work to get ahead in society. I also came to the realizzation that in all situations, if they cant defend something on merit, they will resort to insulting the inteligence of there detractors.
