  3. By the way Sergio,have you checked a U2 fan topic ?

I have posted a picture of Bono and it came so funny and I could not stop laughing about it.

It is about the Hamish camera thing,I want you to see it
  4. I was reading the newspaper last week and I noticed an article about two boys suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Currently, there is no cure for DMD.

However, a company is trying to create a drug. The two boys (age 11/15) want the drug, but the company doesn't want to supply them, since they've not been fully tested. Now, the parents have gone to court.

So, what's your opinion on this lawsuit?

    ---
Instant edit: The judge said the company was right. The Dutch law says drugs may not be provided, if not fully tested. Moreover, there is no proof the drug will be working...

Click here for the article (Dutch)
  5. I can clearly understand the frustration of the parents who must be desperate to find a cure for their children, but I have to say the judge and the company were probably right in their decision, and should follow the correct testing procedure before rushing things. If for example something was to go wrong with the children taking the drugs the company would probably be taken to court anyway, and that would be a lawsuit in which they would lose.

I went to public school as I had no say in the matter, and you all know my thoughts on the government paying for me to go to college. When I go it will be on my dime, and on my terms.

See? After everyting I tried to teach you, you still don't get how every capitalistic country works.

As a citizen you pay many taxes. You pay tax because you're citizen, you pay tax because you work (if you work) and so on.

Your money goes to government and with it government finances herself and everything else in USA. Yeah, you paid for those weapons your soldiers used in Iraq. And you paid for the road in front of your house.

Your government couldn't exist without your money.

When government pays for your education, she's just giving you back only part of the money YOU ALREADY GAVE HER.

They could sign a document regulating responsibility...

It's about money: if the drug fails, it will be sold less

  8. It's just a way too say you lose when you change the topic of the discussion like that.

English isn't my native language either. But I think I manage very well when speaking/writing in it.

I study Spanish and German as well.
  9. Tack, for making it clear to understand.

most of the time when the government pays for your education, its a loan that you pay back. I left school in 2000 and I am still paying on my loans. When people want to get back the money they paid to the government, they get on welfare or foodstamps. My family has been struggling for a while so my wife and I have relied on Government programs like WIC to help us out. While we will get off these programs as soon as we can, there are people who exist only on these programs and make no effort to change. In the U.S., we call these people "trash".

  11. I do actually.
