1. I know that many of you might think those Q magazine lists are a complete waste of time (and paper) but I found it interesting that U2 had all seven of their albums that they recorded "In Q's Lifetime" (1986-2010) in their top 250. I believe The Joshua Tree was 6th and Achtung Baby was 9th. Only the top 30 were listed at this time. Radiohead's OK Computer was listed at number 1 - big surprise.

    Thoughts?
  2. I always thought Q favoured Achtung Baby over Joshua Tree. Or maybe i'm wrong. I'll check my collection.

  3. I think it was the reader's votes that made the list.

  4. Ahh. I have a 2006 poll of the top 100 albums ever. They put Achtung at 6 and JT at 9

  5. Was that their pick or reader's?

Just realised you're past the 21000 post mark.. Jesus man slow down

  6. Readers poll.

Didn't you know that ones post count directly correlates to the size of ones penis?

  7. ...

    Well played sir
  8. even if the first 15 places might be taken by default ... for me bigger surprise is 3-4 by Oasis and Joshua coming after an album by a band i could hardly remember
Ok computer is a very good album but maybe Radiohead did something better later on
  9. When I opened this topic I stated that "all SEVEN of their albums" since 1986 made the top 50. Upon further reflection, U2 has released EIGHT albums since then. I wonder which of these 8 didn't make the list. My guess (deservingly or not) would be Pop, possible R&H. I'm in Canada so we don't get the hard copy of these magazines in our stores until at least a month after they are sold in the UK. - and there's no way I'm subsribing to it.
  10. i found only a list of 30 and there are only Joshua and Achtung
