You are 100% correct. These are not official releases. As we know,God forbid, U2 release a live CD or make their shows available on their website. But anyway, this IEM recording is brilliant.Thank you so much for putting this one,and all the other boots here.
  2. Just a semi related stupid question.... When the Edge, Bono or Adam play the sound is captured and send (most of the time?) wirelessly to the mixing deck. Is this a usual IEM track as well? They should be clean of other band members and clicks... Are they recordable like IEMs?

Again its probably a stupid question, but that should be ok once a month

Fair point. The feeds need to get to the board then then from board to PA and band members. A technical setup but i'm sure sombody knoWs.
  4. The feeds are quite useless since everybody (except Bono?) is mostly wired during the show (They seem to switch between wired and wireless quite often)

Was just a thought popping through my head.
  5. Do you REALLY want to listen to the Edge's guitar without any effects processing?

    Boing boing boooooing.

Its cool from a novelty perspective, but nothing further. The only thing thats worth pulling wireless is Bono's microphone (very nice to get actually) and Adam's bass. Plus almost everything is wired.
  6. Yeah i said it was pretty useless. But it was just a random thought going through my head.

I'd hate to hear Bono's feed singled out. He is difficult to listen to on IEM's even

  8. There are a few Bono IEMs where his voice is enjoyable. But I agree some are too raw to enjoy
  9. I'm a firm believer that any IEM recording that doesn't have Edge/Bono feeds mixed together is an incomplete recording of the show. Individual feeds a fun but incomplete.

That said, a direct bono microphone is a very cool kind of novelty! Great for mixing.
  10. I can imagine Did anyone try to record that feed? Guess it is harder than it looks, because I dont know any recording of it. But maybe they are circulating in tight circles.

Wouldnt it be a problem that bono uses multiple mics? They would all be on a different frequency?
  11. I love the Edge-Iems. I hope we will get some more in the future.

PS: I have canceld the work of the iem-mixes. I'll go crazy with the ms missing in every source. For me it's , and . I'm too lazy to download all sources again. I guess my old harddisk killed the sources.

I have a couple recordings like that. The freqs actually stay the same, except this tour the Wheel mic during Ultraviolet/WOWY are a different freq.
