  1. I was recently pretty bored and decided it'd be interesting to compile a list of all the U2 songs I could remember hearing on the radio. The list is roughly from 2002-today (when I became a big fan)--I'm sure if I began in 1980, my list would hit a few more songs that have now faded into obscurity, although I feel like I've heard plenty of "random" songs. Also, I excluded any special U2 marathons, like that 24-hour one they do out in Ohio (I think...it might be somewhere else!), or entire play-throughs of new albums. I live in the Boston area and they played through HTDAAB a few times right when it came out, but I'm not counting Yahweh or One Step Closer

    Anyway, here's my list (note there's NO songs from Pop...strange):

    The ones I was really surprised to hear were Numb, God Part 2, and Two Hearts.

  2. God Part II? Now THAT is surprising!!

    Here in Spain, only the big, boring hits are aired regullarly. That includes SBS, WOWY, Beautiful Day, Vertigo, Still Haven't Found (most U2 song aired over here), Pride and One. Less frequently you can find some stuff like Elevation, Streets, THTBAmerica, I Will Follow, Bad, COBL and Sweetest Thing, but... Don't count on hearing them too often. Besides the big hits, U2 is largely ignored by most radio stations


    PS. This topic could/should be recicled into the Songs that just Unexpectedly Appear thread, but I couldn't care less if this is still opened. Let it run and surprise yourself with the stuff other people have heard through the radio waves!! (I bet no one has listened to Like A Song ever)
  3. I don't listen to the radio very often, but I remember hearing Vertigo on the way to the Sydney airport for a holiday in New Zealand in August 2004.

  8. I pretty much never listen to the radio, always CDs while im driving. But every now and then ill be listening to U2 and my sister or mum will be like can we listen to the radio instead of U2 all the time, and when i put it on the radio BAM its U2 haha this has happened a couple of times
  9. a cool radio station out here on the west coast of BC. plays a fair amount of u2...
    usually once a week a rare song is played, most recently "Discothèque" was played along with 'BITBS'
  10. and now playing: Bullet the blue sky never heard that one before
    other songs i've heard on the radio: TUF, IWF, WOWY, one, .... almost all the singles I guess + probably other songs, but I can't remember it right now

    Other than that, I have no recollection of hearing any other songs. Nowadays, we just get Still Haven't Found of Beautiful Day.

    EDIT: It is a goal of mine to get a Pop single played when the radio stations have an all request section. Just thinking that if Staring At The Sun or Last Night On Earth made an appearance on the radio today, people would want to hear it again.
