1. I actually think the 2011 versions of The Fly are the best ones.

  2. 2011 and 2001 are about equally best for me, two great takes on a great song, love all the versions of it though.
  3. 1993 sydney version of the fly is unbeatable to me, 2001 boston version a few points behind.
  4. Boston is amazing, because you get to professionally see it. There are some other great ones from Elevation. By far my favorite song and sad I’m missing it live on the E&I tour because I never thought they would fit it in again.

  5. Yep. This tour has one of my favorite opening run of songs they've ever done. I enjoyed LIAWHL starting it off in N. America, but beginning with Blackout through BD is still just fantastic. The energy, the heaviness musically and thematically, the visuals, everything.
  6. U2 is on here
  7. The house on the e-stage during 13 reminds me of Spinal Tap.
  8. I’ve just been thinking once this tour is over the band at the very least probably won’t be back until 2021. I wonder if they’ll fill in that time with some releases, I reckon we’ll get a JT17 dvd at the end of this year with an E&I dvd released mid way through 2019 then ATYCLB 20th anniversary release in 2020. I also think in 2021 we’ll get an AB 30th anniversary release (fingers crossed with a tour to go with it).

I can see a 2021 Achtung Baby re-re-release as reasonable, but they won't tour it. Then again, AB was the only re-release that included a real wealth of new material, so maybe not...

I'm still not so sure U2 won't tour Australia and Asia in the spring next year - a 3 or 4 cities in Australia, one in NZ, maybe 1-3 in Asia... that's probably two dozen shows and two months-two and a half months max, and maybe less than that if they skimp - if they take the whole of winter (rest of November - start of March) off, that's a decent break, then they could start their serious, long, well-deserved rest.

I agree that they'll be back though - I think a new album in 2021 would be pushing it, but 2022 would be reasonable - even likely I think. They'll definitely record a lot during that gap - my wish is that they'd just release some of it! It doesn't have to be an album - just put out an EP, 3-6 tracks, that you like but you're not sure will become anything more, or fit the vibe you're heading in to... it's not that difficult...

I think Livenation looks at the possibility of a 2021/2022 Zoo Tv tour as a cash cow. I think the odds are in favor of it happening.
