You are right, man. So right. They won't spend more than 12 hours at the UK, I think...

    Sorry

  2. that would be a sight to see Something like Starlight would work, i'd love to see them do Plug in Baby

  3. the crowd ate that up, lucky bastards are going to get that plus even more this time round
  4. I still don't see why everyone thinks this is like THE DEFINING MOMENT for them. Not to be crude, but it is just a festival. Yeah I know they haven't played one since the mid-eighties and Glasto's the biggest one but it seems that we u2 fans (and ironically u2 haters) are making more of this than it actually is imo. When they did Live Aid that was because of the times and how many people saw it, its a different tiem now imo. People in the US, Canada, Brazil and Japan will probably only realyl hear of it if they are u2 fans i think.

Im just hoping for a kick ass performance (which is most nights on 360 already) but something that can "save them from the NLOTH disappointment?" I don't think they are shooting that high or thinking about it in that way. Hell, I don't this performance really affects anyone besides the UK and people going yess? I don't get the vibe from the other acts (even in past years that didn't fit the bill) making soo much out of it. I truly believe it's just our own fandom.

it seems the Spiderman musical is just as important because they have real problems there, 65 million+ down the can for Bono and Edge and they should clean that mess up after Glasto and 360 are over imo. At the end of the day they just need to deliver an amazing performance to get the critics that hate them for going off their backs, finish up 360, save the musical and go away for a while to "dream it all up again."

    Don't mind the rant.
  5. I'll be arriving exactly one week from now. I am beside myself with excitement!!!!
  6. I just read on the BBC site that artist may choose to not be broadcasted.
U2 wont have any problems with being broadcasted right?
  7. Just had an email from Glasto confirming u2 will be on at 22.00 and finish at 23.45 and just notice compared to the other headliners they get the longest slot. NICE.
  8. So one hour and fifteen minutes. About half of what they usually play? So 10-12 songs?
  9. if math is not an opinion it's one hour and 45 mins and around half an hour less than usual
  10. Sorry I thought I heard it was one hour fifteen earlier on and then didn't read his post I'm tired leave me alone

  11. Owhh didnt see that, but i think that means they will allowed the BBC to broadcast there show.

An half hour less than usual. My bet is that Mos will be dropped and 40 will close the show
