  1. Here's hoping you get your flight clearance, Kirsten. But if you don't get it right away, what about a road trip? Drive/train to Paris, chunnel to England, ferry from England to Ireland? It'd take a lot longer than your 90 minute flight, but at least you'd have Ireland at the end.

    Kirsten, listen to me: there's a worldwide meeting of U2 fans which will happen on April 19-22 (if I recall right) in Dublin, and I will meet you there. It's not a question, it's an order. If you can go a bit before, it's fine. But on April 19th I will meet you at Temple Bar, I hope you have that in mind.

    that would be an option, but the journey would take too long. I'mnot that fit yet physically to travel for many hours, even though the visits to football matches imply a different impression.

  5. on a different note..... I still have not spoken to my GP about flight fitness or anything alike. Still waiting for an appointment Not being an emergency case anymore, right even the better

    but here's the news, I want this topic to become more positive, so you folks don't cringe every time it pops up on top of the active forum list again.

    I just decided that I want to celebrate. I mean, being 33 has been a real - excuse me - fucked up year for me. My beloved dog died of a brain tumour (what are the odds), then my own brain thought it would be fun to join this story and create some shit of its own, so they opened my head, I had to cancel my Ireland trip just one day before it even began, and yesterday's football story of how I almost got into that stadium was just the ultimate final of it all.
    So.... bye-bye 33, you brought me no good. Hello 34, you'll be so much more beautiful.

    Whatever my GP will tell me concerning travel and all.... I have just booked my flight to Dublin and got a thumb-up from friends in Bray, so a bed to sleep in is also save. My folks live only a 5 minutes walk from the beach...gotta love your Irish friends

    8 weeks during which I can still get healthier. 8 weeks to get this blood pressure under control and maybe get rid of some of the drugs. 8 weeks to look forward to .... returning home

    I said it before but I really admire your positivism, I think a lot of people, including me, wouldnt be so positive after such a shittie year. I hope and know this year will be a lot better the last and I really hope that in the coming 8 weeks you improve more so you could have a great trip to Dublin

    I don't know what else I could be doing, all I can think of is looking forward and hope for the best - because every time I look backward it chills me to the bone. I'm not always positive, you know, I'm scared and insecure more often than people think. But something like booking this flight to Ireland definitely helps to get along
