I too will download Atlanta and make the mix.

I guess these two shows were "pre-Corduroy" days.

  5. Vitalogy, was released on vinyl first,at the end of November,1994.CD 2 weeks later.I remember that.

Most of it was already recorded though.Dave Abbruzzese was fired in August 1st,1994.All his parts were done sometime in the spring.Im not sure why there was such a delay in the release.

Maybe,Corduroy wasnt finished in April 1994.Not sure.

The versions of the songs off vitalogy are a little different. Some minOr lyric changed. Both are definitive live shows. Especially Atlanta

Vitalogy - that is one album I'd love to own on vinyl. Mainly because of 'Spin the Black Circle'

The only part that wasn't recorded was 'Stupid Mop'. Jack Irons done some of the music for that and played the drums on it. I believe that was recorded in September/October. Abbruzzese done the rest of the album. No one really knows why they left Vitalogy so long, even though most of it was complete. People say that it could have been because of the Ticketmaster boycott. Maybe they never played Corduroy because they wanted it left exclusive and fresh? Ah well, we'll never know unless they tell us.
  8. ... and finally the sweet PJ20 blu-ray boxset has arrived ...

  9. Nice.I actually got shut out.It was sold out BEFORE it even went on sale.I cant remember an item being sold out before it hits the streets......

When it dies down, maybe ebay will have it for less than a car payment....LOL

  10. ...adn you hadn't seen the film yet, have you?

    You're in for a MEGA-treat.
  11. So it seems I missed out on a big Pearl Jam discussion today. A few more weeks like this and this will pass the Coldplay topic.

I just want to say I agree with someone who posted about Vitology a few pages back. This might be the album of any artists that I am most split on. It has some of my all time favorite PJ songs, like Corduroy, Better Man, Immortality, and Nothingman, and yet it also has some of my least favore songs in thier catalog. I really don't know if I can listen to Stupidmop again.
  12. I don't think any of us think you need to listen to that song or "Bugs" for that matter. I never listen to them either.

I think the 10 "normal" songs on the album are all solid, with "Satan's Bed" being the weakest of them. I'd go something like:

    1. Corduroy
    2. Better Man
    3. Not for You
    4. Immortality
    5. Last Exit
    6. Spin the Black Circle
    7. Nothingman
    8. Whipping
    9. Tremor Christ
    10. Satan's Bed
