1. Glad everyone had fun. Awesome set and I'm sure tmrw will be even better. I seen a vid of Jeremy and the crowd looked insane!!!!!
  2. Jeremy was, for me, the highlight of the night. The crowd were euphoric.
  3. RVM was even more insane, try to look that up . Seems to be a lot of negativity about the show. Hope Ed's knee is a bit better
  4. Noticed a lot of people complaining about the crowd at the front. I witnessed this too - a number of people 'slam dancing' (moshing, etc). Happened when I seen them in Manchester and I had to move away it was that off-putting. Something else that opened my eyes was the pretentiousness, if you will, of the 'hardcore' Pearl Jam fans. I was in the merch queue, which was huge and I never got to the end of (that's another story), and I heard this Dutch guy talking to this woman from Seattle. He asked her how many shows she had been to. "52, what about you?" she replied. "This is only my third," the guy said, to the woman rather smugly replying "Oh, what a shame." I hate when fans sort of rub that in. Remember that bonus on Pearl Jam Twenty when the guy talks about Pearl Jam's live stats? He is almost boasting his experiences and how many times he has seen them. They should have got somebody less up their own arse. Besides, some of the fans are rude and quite annoying. A merch queue should not be taking card. And why do you people order so much? Woman ordered 120€ worth of stuff including two posters which took up five minutes, therefore I gave up. Also, so many of them were shoving others out of the way in an attempt to get to the front. Quite ridiculous if I'm honest.

Rant over. Great gig besides all that. Very excited for round two.
  5. Hard die fans, specially those who attend many many shows, can be usually are that annoying. Even if they try to "hide" their pretentiousness, most of them still come across as really annoying and up their ass as you say. This happens with every band I've found, a bit less with U2 I think (or maybe I'm one of them, although I don't have the 50+ shows factor to boast)...

Merch stands are always a mess, I waited 40 minutes after the Muse show in Rome only to find they had ran out of most of the items, all I could buy was a tourdate-less t-shirt and a small sticker with the show date. I should have gone to the illegal merch stands outside the venue instead lol

i got into a little argument with someone on the PJ boards because they called yesterday show a typical setlist. Some of the hardcores are spoiled assholes...
  7. It also seems like the negativity is mostly coming from people sitting on their couches during the show.....

  8. Yeah, it's always the same. We all complaining in an online setlist party because "the band" (whichever it is) is not playing 25 rare songs one after another, while 15.000 people are having fun in the venue. It's ridiculous actually

That was you? I seen that. "Typical set list" is far from it, that was probably the first time we have seen four Binaural songs in one set since that album's tour 14 years back.

Lol. Yea that was me. Ridiculous. I usually really try to avoid online arguments because its stupid but I couldn't help myself.
  11. Good on you, I would have done the exact same. Some fans have that arrogant attitude that opens doors for arguments. Hoping tonight is better in terms of crowd politeness but I highly doubt it. Just want that grey Pearl Jam tee.

Bart, were you there last night?
