1. What's up Matt!! I love the little extra guitar intro that sometimes appears on live versions of immortality. I believe you were lucky enough to get it in Buffalo ?

Immortality was the highlight of my night in Buffalo - and yes, EV did indeed play that beautiful little intro at the beginning - as he did in Hartford, Charlotte, and LA2 as well as Berlin 2012, Cleveland 2006, Toronto 2000 (no, I wasn't there), and I suppose other times.

For me, that intro that intro is as important as having Interstellar Overdrive to start Corduroy or It's OK, Save it For Later, and Modern Girl to respectively finish Daughter, Better Man, and Not For You.

It's those little subtleties in a PJ live show that make great songs absolutely EPIC ones.

I'm probably at 20% now for Detroit - have even mentioned it to my wife now.

You are so right on all accounts. My fiancé and I are pretty much all in on Detroit and Moline. Hopefully we'll see u there.
  4. Oh, wow. Your soon-to-be wife is going to? Awesome for the both of you!

BTW: You've been calling her your "fiance" for quite some time now, no?

    No pressure.
  5. ...and for the record, there's no way my wife would go if I do end up doing so.
  6. I decided this a while ago but these are two of PJ's most underrated songs:

(skip to the 30 second mark of the video)

    and

  7. Ronnie....this one's for you:

  8. I have to say, watching that did absolutely nothing for me. Except pump me up and wish I was going to be there to see these upcoming Italian shows. God I miss seeing the good bands live
  9. Hope for Oceans as opener tonight
  10. To everybody going to the San Siro tonight, have a blast for what will be one of Pearl Jam's biggest and surely greatest shows. I would expect a terrific set. As you can tell, I'm one envious bastard right now.
  11. Who isn't? One of the great stadiums, one of the great crowds, one of the great bands. It all makes for signs pointing to greatness.

On another note, did you attempt to get there? I know you're seeing five shows or so in a few different countries
  12. Nah, I'm going on holiday to Poland on Monday - going to Krakow then Warsaw then up to Open'er Festival where Pearl Jam are playing - so I just couldn't afford it at all; especially with £200 return flights. I suppose I shouldn't be complaining as I am seeing five shows in the tour. I still have Gdynia, Leeds and Milton Keynes to go and that final show should be spectacular alongside being a highlight with Milan.
