1. When doing my top 100, I took two songs from each of the first five albums. There were so many PJ tracks that could have been also included - literally five MORE from EACH album...well, maybe not five more from No Code but that very well could have been the case for the other four.

I'll definitely look into that Melbourne 1995 gig - and the others.

  6. I feel like a total outsider in this thread.

Hope I'll be able to post something like this tomorrow:

FUCK YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHH, tickets to PEARL JAM

I really hope I'll get tickets.
  7. No such thing as an "outsider" here. Just listen to the music (studio or live) and let all of know what you think! Hey, I've been catching up over the past eight months myself!

    Good luck with the tickets!
  8. Well, I think Ten is an amazing album. Especially the opening of it. Once is one of the most energetic songs I ever heard. It's simply amazing. Still remember the first time I put Ten on, the first time I heard the song. During the intro I thought... "WTF is wrong with this??". I turned up the sound to hear anything, and the song just explodes in my face. Awesome. So much energy.
  9. Black, Jeremy, Even Flow, Alive are all better songs than Once.

Thanks for suggesting those shows, Ed! I'll be downloading some of them tonight.

You're probably right. As great as Once is, there are a bunch of better ones on the album. I'd even put Porch and Release (at least the live versions of them but maybe that doesn't count here) ahead of Once.

I will conclude by reiterating that Once is a great song.

I prefer Once to Porch, but I'd maybe put Release and possibly Garden ahead of Once. I do agree though, Once is a great song.

Go was the better album opener though.
