1. Low Light and Small Town are, respectively, good and great tunes but that don't need to be at the beginning - at least not together. It'd be nice if they "reserve" one of those opening three slots for a classic slow burn opener like Release, Oceans, Wash, Sometimes, or Long Road.

    There are only 12 shows!
  2. Evolution
    MYM
  3. Supposedly the band delayed the star of the show as they had the Cardinals game on the big screen. The team was down 6-2 against Kershaw (the best regular season pitcher in the game!) but ended up rallying and taking a 10-6 lead!

Oddly enough, EV is a Cubs fan and the Cubs and Cards have one of the biggest rivalries in baseball!
  4. My Father's Son
    Corduroy
    LB
    Pilate
    Even Flow

I'm gonna be honest here....this wouldn't be a setlist I'd be too pleased about at this point in the show. I mean, it's PJ so ..."YEAH." However, there are a few personal duds in there already.
  5. Swallowed Whole
    Why Go
    Not For You
    Daughter/WMA
    Jeremy

...the setlist just got a heck of a lot better!

  6. I don't like Low Light , and I could never understand the bands love for it..it's an ok at best tune IMO.....something like Animal should be 2nd..not Low Light

The band really only warmed up to it recently. Before 2013 it was a rarity. Not a bad song , I'd rather see it in an encore not the second spot.
  8. I think Low Light would better as a "rest" song after they play a bunch of quick, heavy tunes (say at around position #8 or #9 in the set) than too early or too late in the set. Kind of around where they tend to play Pilate these days. Low Light is a decent song (I've warmed up to it over the past year) but it isn't good enough to start a show or be included int the encores - unless it's part of the slow/acoustic session.
  9. Matt…in YOUR opinion…whats the BEST Euro gig..I have been "out of the loop" for quite a while…sorry about that my friends…..but I'd like to announce to this group , that Im back big time.

To me (and Im sure Ronnie would agree) Milan looks insane…but so does Norway….as does Stockholm…....get ready for a mad amount of posts from me again regarding PJ….

OFF TOPIC : I really really love the new U2 lp..as you guys know , I'm a picky biatch with my bands..especially U2…Raised By Wolfs and Iris are absolute classics..as is EBW and Song For Someone…..…. I know..I know…Sergio is gonna kill me for this , this is the wrong thread…etc…LOL..but Id rather discuss this with my PJ brothers if possible…if not I apologize...…anyhow…Nick enjoy Det my friend…it will be a beast as always there….
  10. I'm listening to Milton Keynes as I type this message and watching the MLB games and it's quite good. This said, Milan is probably my early favourite but Vienna is also quite solid as is Stockholm (NINE songs from Ten!).
  11. In terms of new U2, I'm all over the first five songs. The next bunch are solid but I still haven't begun to fully appreciate them. I should start skipping Miracle through Iris if only to devote more time to the other six. They are good but they aren't sticking with me yet.

I will state that at this point that I'm not a huge fan of those high notes in the chorus of Volcano.
  12. All in all, I think I like the performances in the 2012 Euro tour better than the 2014 one. This opinion may change over time.
