1. Personally , Id rather the band take 2 years off , do no shows , put out an album and do a real full on proper tour . Like 2006 .

Why hit the road for only 10 - 12 gigs ?

Things were justing interesting and its over .
  2. Whatever happened to those Alpine shows from 2011 ? Same goes for Europe 2007 .

    Strange .

Why are they the only major shows that the band have played and not released ?

    Matt.....explain . lol
  3. They said they wouldn't release Europe 2007, didn't they? The Alpine and Wrigley shows will probably get some sort of commercial release at some point.

I'm starting to just accept that'll never happen but honestly, if short tours and more rest means shows like we had the last 2 years then I'm all for it. I mean, after every leg I thought they couldn't top it. The Europe leg was unreal and I thought the fall shows wouldn't come close. They proved me wrong on that. If u think about it, we all had NO option of seeing U2 live for the past 3 years or Watever it is. In that time PJ were playing shows and if you were up for a little traveling you could see them.

All true , but seeing that the band is on fire and playing some of their best gigs since 2010 makes me more frustrated .

I NEED that Moline gig forthwith !

I don't remember them saying anything about 2007 or Alpine .

Not a big deal as we obviously are spoiled by all the live shows , just seems odd to me .
  8. Spotted this on the Pearl Jam Official Bootlegs Wikipedia page:

"The band elected not to release official bootlegs for its 2007 European Tour."
  9. Originally posted by KieranU2:Canada is likely, as is some sort of South American tour. They're rumoured to played Download Festival over here, but I suppose they've been rumoured since 2013. I can only hope for Canada 2015 next year. If they also did South America, it would follow what they did after the Backspacer tour of mini-touring for two years in NA, Europe, and Oz to promote the album and then tacking on "above/below the US countries" for a few shows. Unfortunately, if something happens once it doesn't make it a pattern.

    haha...very funny...

This said, there might have been indecision with which format to use for the 2007 bootlegs...remember, the 2006 were not physically released but the 2008 ones were. Also, a lot of the shows were "festival" shows - that might of had an impact....I starting to get out the shovel here.

As for shows like Alpine and Wrigley, I can only guess that they want to keep something for long-term future vault releases. Think about it: The Stones have been around for 50 (!) years and they are still reissuing things. I am sure the PJ camp will want to have a yet-to-be-released concert to give their geriatric fans in 2045!
  11. I don't see them doing shows in 2015. If they do, it might be Asia
  12. Asia sounds good to me
