1. I'd be surprised if they did absolutely no shows whatsoever...that hasn't happened since...well, never. Admittedly, they only did a few shows between the Binaural and Riot Act tours but that was well over a decade ago.

  3. Its great to see that the PJ shows sound so frigging good . The last couple of years , especially 2013 on , blow away the early boots .

Of the Girl (from Cincy) blasting...
  4. I'm a big fan of the 2006 bootlegs, those sound excellent in my opinion.

'Spin the Black Circle' sounds different, been dropped a key. Must be too strenuous on Vedder's voice.
  5. I really like the 2000 and 2006 boots the best of the "older" official releases and, obviously, most of the stuff since 2011 (when I started getting back into these guys).

The 2000 performances/setlists are filled great song after great song (very little filler) and, due to the lack of keyboards, sound a little rawer (or is it "more raw?").

For whatever reason, I like the 2006 shows better than 2003/05/08/09/10. Don't get me wrong, there are some great shows from each of those years but I think they played a lot of their earlier stuff really well on that tour and it was cool that they made it to both Europe AND the South Pacific that year after alternating between the two regions on all of their previous tours.
  6. As far as the actual band, 2006 is my favorite.
But I totally agree with Ed, starting last year the actual sound of the boots is better than ever. I wish the 2010 boots had the quality mixing of 2013-2014.
  7. Well we've being going on and on about how great it is that they are playing virtually all of their back catalog on this tour but they really have been doing it since 2009 - or even as early as 2006. Come to think of it, the Backspacer tour had a few songs that the LB tour didn't (Brother, Bugs, and Rival come to mind) and they played Dirty Frank twice in 2006!

In terms of sound, however, the more recent boots sound better - I can definitely hear an improvement with the latest ones compared to those from 2009.
  8. Speaking of Pearl Jam bootlegs (well, I guess that's what I usually do) I finally got around to listening to the 1996 Randall's Island show (night 2) yesterday and today - that's one hell of a show. The sound quality of the bootleg isn't great but is definitely listenable - and what a setlist!

Assuming they have the master tapes from this show, it must be released from the vault - SOON!
  9. I listened to Stockholm and Oslo '14 over the last 2 days . Might have to do a 2 Nights in Scandinavia mix !!! Ed sounds great over those 2 nights ! Red Mosquito !! Mistakes and all I love that tune lol

I laughed out loud when Ed says after My Fathers Son (in Stockholm) "That one is about having a shitty Father , and if theres one good thing about having a shitty father , when you become one , it teaches you exactly about what not to do." classic

Sirius radio had the Tulsa show on earlier today . I heard only a few tunes (Sirens GTF) . Ed's voice sounded quite raspy and GTF did not have that climbing climax to it .
  10. Was rocking my pj melbourne show shirt at the pub tonight
