    Speaking of PJs music.The Riot Act tour had many a great show.Check out the gig Champaign,IL 04.23.03.This is a great show.Do The Evolution opens.And yes,Bu$hleaguer is not played.LOL

    The cd itself,always goes for a small fortune on ebay.Glad I bought it, from 10C in 03 for $14...

    IMO....a must listen.
  2. The July 2003 shows seem to get all the hype from that tour. Listening to the earlier Riot Act shows is on my "to do" list.

    So glad that I have something to do in between U2 albums.
  3. yes 2003 tour has so many highlights and one big negative point ... they not even remotely thought to pass through Europe ..
    luckily they put out a couple of dvds from 2002-03

  5. they could stay away from festivals or Denmark then .. i don't know why they forgot Europe for 6 years
  6. I guess they kept themselves quite busy with the South Pacific and America in 2003 that there, unfortunately, just wasn't time for Europe.

    As for the festivals, it's very interesting to listen to Eddie repeatedly "check in" on the crowd at the 2006 Leeds and Reading shows.
  7. They could have easily hit Europe in 2003.The Mexican gigs were in the middle of July 2003.Then they stopped the tour.All of August,Sept and the first 3 weeks of Oct were open .The only shows they did after Mexico were Benaroya Hall and Shoreline gigs.
  8. I suppose you're right. However, they started pretty early in 2003 so maybe that would have been too much for them. Not being a musician, I have no idea what kind of toll performing 60 or so shows over the course of four months takes on someone. However, many of us "working folk" do it all-year round.

    For the record, I realize, being a teacher, the irony of my comments.

  10. Haa...they could have done Europe.But still,that tour was a monster,compared to the 'mini' tours we have been getting,since 2008.

    he became very careful to the safety after the tragedy .. i remember in Verona 06 at the beginning of the show, before Corduroy i guess, he said almost begging, in italian ( ) something like ..
    "please please please don't get hurt .. it's the most important thing .. more than the music ..more than wine .. first don't get hurt"
