1. In the Moonlight???? WTF?!?!
  2. Really fun night and great stay here in the Port of Tampa . I strongly advise anyone who is thinking of seeing show or hockey game in this arena to go . Just beautiful. Numerous hotels in the area . My hotel was literally across the street from the venue. I was ordering a Cigar City Ale at the outside hotel bar no less then 10 min after the gig .

That being said , the show was very good , but the band seemed off . Numerous mistakes by my man Stone . The band were definitely in a loose mood as were the crowd . Talk about a night and day difference between Miami's audience and Tampa .

It was as if all 18000 ( not sure of the exact number but the building was jam packed) lit up a joint or 3 before the show lol

Main set was uneven , but enjoyable . Ed did a fine job playing songs to fit the mood . Though I think Comfortably numb would have fit the vibe better last night instead of Miami .

Why Go was amazing and Animal finally makes an appearance and is a top 3 song for me .

Red Mosquito and HTI are in my 10 as well so yes I was very pumped .

Getaway was a fine mess . Ed kept looking over at Stone who was laughing at his mistakes and this seemed to make Ed even more pissed . He tossed his towel on the stage after shaking his head I still enjoyed it . Maybe Stone was stoned ?

In the Moonlight was cool , for me only as the audience seemed lost during it , but I can't say I blame them . The show needed a classic right there . Not some odd off the wall tune

Jeremy Evolution and BLOOD were amazing , and needed . Somehow the crowd were still on the set of the Walking Dead .

I mean , if Blood doesn't get you amped up what will ?? I don't know what to say really

Encore 1 was odd , but fit the chilled zombie like mood . I love a Pendulum in that spot and Off He Goes was beautiful. Come Back was a drag . It was funny though , as everyone was literally running for the bathroom , and it was as if Ed was asking them to come back lol

Lukin is always a welcomed beast and Porch was brilliant

Encore 2 was really good , but mistakes were still all around

Ed flubbed BM a bunch and afterwards He smashed his Gibson SG to bits , followed by smashing his mic on the already smashed Gibson
I know he does this at times but he was pissed off . He hit it like 10 times . Maybe Ed was imagining it was Stone ?

The sloppiness continued during Alive , as Stone somehow flubbed the intro . Strange as the band (stone) should be able to play that song in their sleep .

During Baba the house lights went on . Ed said goodnight and stone waved and left the stage .
Mike refused to leave . Maybe he felt we deserved another , as the band were so off on this night ?

He started playing bits of Yellow Led , then quickly moved to Little Wing

Stone walked back out with Ed and the band played a great full version of the song

Great night . Solid gig . Uneven and a bit sloppy yes , but a solid show nonetheless . Great poster as well lol

Love this area . I will be back to the Port of Tampa soon .
  3. 3 shows and no YL to close. Kinda odd
  4. ...and none of Release, Oceans, Long Road, Sometimes, or Wash to open!

(I'm guessing the trend I mentioned above will continue in Jacksonville and then they'll revert back to the slow opener once they leave Florida).
  5. Hahaha Great review, Ed. I'm no PJ expert so I dont know if mistakes like these are more common than rare in their live shows. EV smashing his guitar and the mic subsequently must have been great to see tho

Yeah Ed was quite pissed in Tampa...from time to time he will smash an SG and or mic stand..no question....but this was different..he was pissed and went full on Pete T here lol....the band were a bit off so to speak , they still sounded very good but holy cow mucho mistakes...the main culprit was Stone , and he's always been my favorite Pearl Jammer ..it looked to me as if Ed was getting more irate at Stone during the course of the show , basically because Stone kept laughing about it.... lol

Miami was the best of the 3...the band were amazing and the crowd was like a combination of SA , Italian and Spanish audiences....in other words loud and jumping up and down in the GA (and even reserved seats) all night ! just a brilliant show...

I got to see one of my favorite bands 3 times in 4 days here in Florida...whats better then that ?...well , maybe jumping on a plane and flying up to NYC at the end of the month ???!!!...next up.... MSG May 1 & 2 !!! ..these 2 gigs will be special....

Monday morning my wife and I head down to Hampton VA!!! Cannot wait. Then of course the incredible run of 4 in 5 days with Philly and MSG!!!! oh what a year this will be
  8. MSG and Philly will be the shows of the year..2 night stands are always great in those locations...and I mean always!!...

....as far as one off gigs , I think I'll be able to put Miami right up there....

Nah - the two-night closers in Toronto will be THE shows.
  10. I've got three days until Greenville. Starting to get excited. I hope they continue with big heavy openers( I think they will for awhile) but of course I would be very pleased with Release since I've still never gotten that at my shows I've been to. Gotten, Somtimes x2, Can't Keep, & Pendulum.
My prediction is they open with Do the Evolution.
  11. They might be. Those two will be immense for sure.
