I agree about Glastonbury , only the best will usually headline there ( Jay Z headlined no ?).... that being said its a festival , we are talking about an arena , and or a specific building (ex. O2 Arena London).....so Glastonbury is not a good example , its an outdoor event as is the Coachella Festival in Indio CA here in the states....if you want to say for instance Wembley Arena or the old Boston Garden , then sure that is a valid argument...not a festival...just my 2 cents
  2. just a few more off the top of my head ...Earl's Court , Royal Albert Hall and Radio City Music Hall are other famous iconic buildings , where I have been fortunate to see some of the greatest acts ever over the years....
  3. Shame Earls Court is now closing. Very fortunate to have witnessed Arcade Fire's two-night stand during the Reflektor Tour there.

Went to read the rest of that article. Fair play to him - I hope it happens to a few more.

I had written Wembley Stadium as the "standalone venue" alternative, and decided to remove it last minute since you could say the same about it than about MSG (some shit bands and artists have sold out Wembley!). But yeah, that and Glasto are definitely the top stages worldwide in my book.
  9. It's amazing how 10c members think a setlist is epic because it has Gods Dice and Pilate. Since when did people decide they rather see mediocre songs than high quality songs? I just don't get it.
  10. Of the Girl to open in QC this evening

I'm hoping this means they DON'T play these two in T.O.
  12. This might be of interest for Matt.

So now there's a day break between TO1 and TO2.
