1. I don't really like to compare both bands, they're two bands with completely different approaches to live music. It's not really up for debate.
  2. The nice thing about U2 is that there is little to no regret when I just see one (local) show per tour. With Pearl Jam, this is not the case. Same with Radiohead (but at least I trusted my gut this time and went to both shows...and was well rewarded).

  4. Got up about an hour ago (6:00am PST)...
Gotta get the family together...catch the 8:40 ferry into Vancouver...
    Drive to BC/Wash State border....
    Get across that border...Gulp
Drive down to Seattle (about 1.5 hrs?)...
    Check into hotel...
Entertain kids/wife (ie, let them do what they want to do)...
    Eat dinner...
Say "goodnight" to family as I head over to Safeco

Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly!

(FTR: The wife and kids wanted to come down with me to Seattle instead of staying home and me going solo.)

Enjoy Matt... I can’t believe these shows are here already.
  7. Well gentlemen, less than a half hour ago, I got "Released."

I sang my heart out... had some tears in my eyes...interacted as best as I could with the rest of the crowd... it was truly a wonderful experience.

I don't want to die for a VERY long time but I fell I've lived a full life now.

I’m so happy for you. Full review when you’re ready!

I’m sure you were moved . Release in Rome was an out of body experience and one of the bests shows I’ve ever attended.
Full review when you catch your breath lol
  10. I know I owe you guys more but for now this is what I'll state:
-Long Road and Release to start a show? Are you kidding me? It (almost) makes up for the Release/Oceans Intro I missed in Detroit, 2014.
    - The next five songs were amazing.
    - Enjoyed the hits as much as always (although I will be the first to admit that Even Flow and Porch don't do it for me as much as they used to).
    - I gotta admit I loved hearing All Those Yesterdays and Help, Help
    - Complaints? Too many covers, tbh.
    - Confession: After a very long day of travel and singing my ass off for the duration of the show I was beat by the end and slowly headed towards the exit midway through RITFW (I really can't stand that song anymore). Heard the rest from outside. Admittedly, YL does little for me either.

Can't wait til tomorrow night. Hoping for more Vitalogy (Immortality? STBC?) and No Code (Hail Hail? In My Tree?). Still can't believe I haven't heard Jeremy once since I started attending shows regularly in 2011 - although I did get it way back in 1998.

I’m so done with RITFW. Luckily you guy it out of the way Night 1. And yes, way too many covers. I hope they leave that Brandi Carlisle cover in Seattle. It better not be played at Fenway
