    and loving Stoney on bass

“I can’t tell you how proud I am about this group of songs. As you know, we took our time and that benefited us taking more chances. ‘Dance’ was a perfect storm of experimentation and real collaboration, mixing up the instrumentation and building a great song, and Ed writing some of my favorite words yet, around Matt’s killer drum pattern. Did I mention Mike’s insane guitar part and that Stone is playing bass on this one? We’ve opened some new doors creatively and that’s exciting.”
  3. Honestly sounds like a drum machine.
  4. Hope the whole album is similar
  5. If the album goes in a similar direction in terms of the style of the song I’ll be quite interested and I like the idea but the song itself is a bit meh for me.
  6. Lead off tracks are often misleading. Just look at Who You Are.
  7. I love Bowie
    I love Talking Heads
    I love PJ
So I am digging it. Is it my favorite song? Hell no.
BUT, I’m relieved it’s not another Ole, fixer, manners, can’t deny me. Nothing really wrong with those songs, but it just felt like it was time to dig deeper. I have a feeling they wrote a bunch of those type songs, then scrapped everything. Can’t Deny had me concerned. This has me very interested and curious.
  8. Nice riff and verses, but dull chorus. Overall not bad...

Can't deny me was horrible. Glad to hear they have mixed things up.
  10. This song is so different and it’s risky. I love it and some of that guitar sounds like War Edge to me.
