1. In the end, the multiple mixes seemed to be the way to go but I still plan to finish what I started here and rethink the process in the future - after I have giving all 20 or so shows multiple listens. I just need something to do. It's a shame that these five great songs sort of end up getting the shaft while what I deem to be lesser songs get played more frequently - and thus make it onto mixes more often. Also, four 2000 NA will only have one "Alive" - I need that song.

  2. What might be best is three 2000 mixes - one for each leg - of two or three CD's each.

Start Mix/Leg 1 (Europe) with: Sometimes and Of the Girl
Start Mix/Leg 2 (NA July/Aug) with: Long Road (and Oceans?)
Start Mix/Leg 3 (NA Oct/Nov) with: Release and Of the Girl

Not all songs would make it onto each list but this guarantees almost everything played in 2000 makes it onto at least one compilation - and I get two versions of "Alive."

    Suggestions welcome.

    (I'm losing it, aren't I?)
  3. Your not "losing it" Matt....u just have Pearl Jam-mania.....once u get it..its hard to shake off.My wife laughs at these "serious conversations about Pearl Jam"...as she is the adult obviously....lol

Next thing you will find yourself doing.......road trips...as seein them in your own city is simply ...just not good enough...lol

Then....you find yourself bookin flights to Europe...that's another level of madness.....lol
  4. Matt.....there is no cure......you have it....its a serious condition....only non stop live bootlegs from PJ can help u now......lmao...u r hooked my friend...
  5. My wife wonders what I do when I am on-line. I have to confess I suppose - she starting to think I am looking at porn.
  6. Lol...show her.....my wife was in stiches laughin..givin me the "what's wrong with u look "...lol
  7. As someone has never purposely listened to Pearl Jam, where do you guys suggest I start for a good introduction (and a lasting impression)? A particular studio album or compilation?

Their first album, Ten. A fantastic album.
  9. Start off at Ten, then work your way through their albums chronologically.
  10. welcome Tim
to have an overview of their production till 2002 go with Rearviewmirror (greatest hits), even if i "hate" greatest hits but it's a problem of mine
otherwise one of the first 3 is a good choice .. Ten - Vs - Vitalogy
  11. Ten it is. I shall report back tomorrow
