Without question,I became a huge Oasis and Radiohead fan...I was also into Blur in the late 90s ....speakin of Radiohead.....when are they commin back to NYC..
Not too sure about Radiohead's return to these parts. They seem to be announcing concerts dates piecewise.
Just thought of something: I started listening to more PJ shortly after TKoL came out. I wonder if things would have been different if RH had released a "rocker" instead of beep/boop/moan/blip/etc?
Matt, Ed: where do you get all those millions of PJ bootelgs you talk about every day? Do you buy them or are they available for free in a U2start-alike website?
There are hundreds available at pearljambootlegs.org. All the "official releases" from 2000-2006 are legitimately available there (no longer for sale from the PJ offcial website) and there are many, many radio broadcasts and audience recording from the 1990's on the site, too. You may have to keep "refreshing" your browser when you initial try to navigate to the site - I usually get some "oops..." message the first few time I try to go there but it eventually works. Not too sure why this happens.
Most of their shows from 2008 to 2011 are available for purchase on the bands official website (not pearljambootlegs.org). I bought a bunch from the recent Canadian tour and have been given others.
Sergio, check out the gigs from Barcelona 05.25.00 and from San Sebastian 05.26.00 in your country......the crowd at both gigs were insane.I went to the Barcelona gig......great show, great city..and fantastic wine and food....they played some great gigs in Europe 2000...London,Cardiff,Milan,Verona,Poland,Praha,Berlin,Oslo...the 2 most popular from Europe are Katowice 06.16.00 and Milan 06.22.00...I went to the Milan show,as did Ronnie.....IMO,PJs BEST GIG TO DATE.......
On Corduroy, from San Sebastian, you can hear the crowd doing these loud soccer - like chants...amazing crowd of people..I had a great time there.....as well as Milan....
Matt....Im workin on a nice 2 parts Europe mix....25 gigs is impossible for 1 mix....4 cd minimum at the least......spread out......Im takin the first 12-13 shows, then the last 12 gigs for a separate mix..stay tuned...lol
You did a European one a while back and it looked pretty (very) good. I've only downloaded the two London and the two Italian shows from 2000, however, so I got some work to do. I look forward to your post(s).
I'm three CD's into "mixing" (transitioning) the 2000 NA mix. It'll likely suffice (I'll post on mediafire - not megaupload -when I'm done) but I can't shake the urge to create two mixes (one for each leg) instead.
Well, you can do 1 of 2 things IMO.....Make one mega mix for the N.American Tour (impossible IMO)...or do small mixes, from different segments of the tour. The "problem" is the simple fact that the American leg has 47 different gigs, all released of course.
I have an August Leg mix,a Sept Leg (Philly 1 and 2,D.C. and Pitt 4 great gigs) a early Oct mix (Det,E.Troy,Chi and St.Louis,I added St Louis, all great gigs) and the final 3 of Nov mix (Boise,Seattle 1 and 2)....
The August 2000 mix has all 19 gigs represented...its under 3 hrs..classic stuff.....
I won't go any further that making one mix for each leg. However, I have made the two-night London mix and am considering doing one for the two Italy nights.
I'd eventually like to get to 2003, (maybe more of) 2006, and definitely 2010. The other years will just have to wait.
Huge announcement coming Sunday from the PJ crew- just sent out an email saying to make sure you had renewed your 10C memberships by then, so it will either be a tour announcement or a special store item for members only (Alpine??!?!)
Registered this evening for it- great bargain at the price. First fanclub I've ever been a part of!
