1. I never give up, especially not when it's against a teacher Mwhahahahahaha.
  2. But wait....

The terabyte is a multiple of the unit byte for digital information. The prefix tera means 10^12 in the International System of Units (SI), and therefore 1 terabyte is 1000000000000bytes, or 1 trillion (short scale) bytes, or 1024 gigabytes. 1 terabyte in binary prefixes is 0.9095 tebibytes, or 931.32 gibibytes. The unit symbol for the terabyte is TB or TByte, but not Tb (lower case b) which refers to terabit.

    What's this "short scale" stuff?

Sorry, I've already won. The above text is confusing.
  4. Just for that comment I'll be marking my Advanced Functions exams extremely hard. Thirty Canadian students will have have a bounty out for a young man known as "Mr. Trek."
  5. Since you were "confused:"

In standard SI usage, 1 terabyte (TB) equals 1000000000000bytes = 1000^4, or 10^12 bytes.
    Using the traditional binary interpretation, a terabyte is 1099511627776bytes = 10244 = 240 bytes = 1 tebibyte (TiB).
  6. Interesting addition to our earlier debate (which I prematurely conceded but that doesn't mean I should stop searching for the truth):

Sorry, Jammers. I'll stop ruining our thread (and embarrassing myself) now.
  7. Back on track.

The Virginia 2000 (first show of NA legs) perfromance of Daughter has the "It's OK" tag. Was this the first time this tag was played? That makes it that much more ... powerful ...if it was a "response" to the Denmark tragedy, doesn't it?
  8. Well, I was clearly talking about my harddrive, which of course is in the traditional binary format, since binary is what computers like.

On the issue of those students. Vikings have defeated your people before, they will again.

And Pearl Jam. I'm gonna continue listening to that Seattle bootleg I got a couple of weeks ago before going to bed. I really liked the start.
