1. I like videos. It never ruined anything for me.But,I understand the point.

Backspacer,I agree, has a few duds.Johnny Guitar and Supersonic are weak.Got Some isnt bad.I actually blasted it before when it came on PJ Radio. But The Fixer,Just Breathe and The End really got the band alot of attention, and from casual music fans.It was a strong relevant release.Like All That You Cant Leave Behind and How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb....(5 star releases IMHO)

  2. I have Vitalogy on now...nothing like headphones and Nothingman.....
  3. It's just that I have heard "Got Some" WAY too many times over the past few months. I did think it was okay for the first little while.

I don't think I even ripped the other tracks onto my computer.

I probably should listen to it this way at some point, but even with these songs there are still some songs I dislike. I can't stand Satan's Bed, Whipping is not one of my favorites, and, I might be crazy for saying this, but I just don't like Spin the Black Circle. I hated it when I heard it on Rearviewmirror years ago, and it hasn't grown on me at all. So even with this lineup, I still don't give it 5 stars.

I'll agree with you on the White Album, even though I'd still give that five stars. Part of its greatness is the fact that the four of them hated each other so much while they made it, and they still made amazing music. Yeah, it would have been even better had it not been a double album (wouldn't most double albums?), but all of them wanted their songs on it, and no one would budge. But seriously, Rvolution 9 makes me want to jump off a cliff. I guess this is for a different topic though.
  6. Get away from Backspacer for a while Matt. Then, after a couple months, put it on.I do that alot. You might have a different outlook on it.I have been playing alot of PJ studio this weekend.Something I hardly ever do....Roit Act sounds good...I havent listened to it in ages..dare I say years ??
  7. I always got a kick out of Satans Bed,it has a good rockin beat.

You dont like Spin The Black Circle ??????. .....lol...Dont ever say that on PJ.com forums..you might get death threats....you would be putting yourself in imminent danger sir......LOL
  8. I know. I know. I won't mention it again. I feel the same way about Do the Evolution. They don't do anything for me. Oh wel
  9. LOL Thats fine...Im just messing with you....
  10. "Spin The Black Circle" is definitely an acquired taste - it's quite hard, even for a "rock" band like PJ. It definitely grew on me - wasn't one of my favourites back in 1994/5. I think it's great now - matches up well with "State of Love and Trust" or "Brain of J."
  11. I've stated this before but "Satan's Bed" definitely takes the 10th spot on that Vitalogy list. I wouldn't skip it, however.
  12. I would always skip it on Rearviewmirror. It's just too much screaming and I just feel like its for the sake of screaming. I just can't get into that kind of stuff. Anyway I prefer slower Pearl Jam songs. Give me Indifference or Off He Goes to Even Flow or Last Exit anyway. Not saying I dislike those songs, just that I like the softer stuff better. Man of the Hour is another one I love.

Now that I think of it, I liked disc 2 of RVM better than disc 1.
