Brain of J is insane...so is Lukin...and how about Blood...wild tunes...

Matt, did you ever hear the live tunes Falling Down and No Jeremy from Red Rocks 06.20.95 ?? They were sent to me a while back, via mp3,from the 10 Club....solid tunes..and this gives me hope that the band did indeed record more shows in that time period ...
  2. I also love the slower PJ tunes...Release, Oceans ,Indifference, Daughter, Small Town, WMA, NOTHINGMAN, Immortality, Nothing As It Seems, Iam Mine, Inside Job, Just Breathe... The End....
  3. No, I haven't. I'll look into them. I too hope we get some more 1990's stuff in the near future.

Blood is just okay for me. I used to dislike it, to be honest - a bit too much noise (I sound like an old man) - but after listening more closely to the lyrics I have learned to appreciate it more.
  4. What's the deal with them rarely playing WMA and Who You Are? Have they openly stated they don't like them.

Let me guess: You saw PJ play them both at MSG back in 2008.
  5. Yes,I actually did attend those shows.....lol
  6. i can't leave you alone a weekend and look what you did ... hehehe
  7. amazing Rio with 3 closers one after the other
  8. Ron,Im stuck in 1994.The Orpheum gig is so amazing 04.12.94......I will get to the South American gigs soon.....

    a milestone indeed!!
  10. They (the three Brazil shows) are very good. Lots of variety.

I just can't get into that kind of stuff. Anyway I prefer slower Pearl Jam songs. Give me Indifference or Off He Goes to Even Flow or Last Exit anyway. Not saying I dislike those songs, just that I like the softer stuff better. Man of the Hour is another one I love.

Now that I think of it, I liked disc 2 of RVM better than disc 1.

I'm with you! I posted something really similar last week:

Originally posted by LikeASong:Better Man is my favorite PJ song, and that will never change I'm afraid. I've now listened to a 60-70% of their discography and while many of their songs are absolutely awesome, none of them achieve the level of spine-tingling that Better Man does.

I've also found myself a fan of their most quieter and "less-grunge" stuff. I mean, songs like Corduroy, Once or Even Flow are surely fantastic and I'm sure they're mental when played live, but I'd choose Breathe, Elderly Woman or Better Man (of course) above them any day. I guess I already have my "grunger-side-of-brain" filled with Nirvana and Red Hot Chili Peppers songs
