1. I will. I sort of plowed through 2000 and agree that I should "relax" with 2003. Is tough, however, with so many to choose from - unlike the more recent legs that are only 10 or so gigs long.
  2. True. Its like being a child in a candy shop.Where do I start ??? What show ?? What year ??? I had to go in order, since I was listening to them, when all the these bootlegs started in 2000.

But since you stopped, and now are back into PJ bigtime,I would suggest you go slow.Digest each leg in order. There are some very good gigs from Australia/Japan 2003.I just never got into those shows.

That is why I mentioned the Philly show again.I thought you might have rushed through the gigs I listed already...LOL.Those shows need numerous listenings Matt.

The way I re-listen to shows,I ripped the whole gig to my iPod.When possible (jogging, taking the subway, etc) I play it.
  3. I downloaded a whole bunch of June 2003 shows yesterday. I already had (and have listened to) the Mansfield, Camden, and MSG gigs from that July - but haven't listened to them since last summer. I'll go and get some of those April shows and listen to them first (promise) - after I finish going through those 2010 NA gigs...listening to DC (Bristow) again. Did these in reverse order (started at the MSG shows) and am now going back up the ladder.

...and then there's Europe 2010 which I haven't even touched aside from the London show.

  4. I was just sitting on a street corner and this ukulele came up and had a strong opening line and we’ve been together ever since. It’s never cheated on me. I don’t always have to pick up the tab. The ukulele is a good listener, but chimes in when it’s helpful. It’s really one of the best relationships I’ve ever had.

Friend of mine bought one after Ukelele Songs came out- goofed around with it for a month or so, but now it just sits there. Takes it out occasionally.

I think I'd actually play one quite a bit... since I'm so damn lazy when I want to play. I almost always play the acoustic guitar... and an ukulele should be even better in the "get something to play on as quickly as possible"-aspect.

    very nice pic
thank you Sergio .. for the quote too
  9. It was posted on the PJ20 facebook page, not my merit

I would like an uke as well, it's just so COOL to play, specially if you have a friend backing you up with a guitar and/or a harmonica.
  10. i guess ukulele had an increase in sales in the last year thanks to him hehe
  11. I would bet on that, too. Him and all the Jason Mraz-alikes of recent times. In the last 2 years or so everyone has got an ukelele

I guess I will buy one sometime soon, although mandolines strongly call my name too.
  12. Speaking of the Ukelele,Im kinda surprised EV is touring solo in April and May,once again. The Ukelele album came out last spring, and he (as we all know) already went out on tour last spring.Albeit, yes a short tour, nontheless,he toured already.I saw him at the Beacon in NYC,N2,and the show was great. My question is,whats the point ?

I would rather the BAND spend more time in the sudio, and when they do go on tour, solo or full band, do a full proper tour. Not 2 weeks here, and then 2 weeks there. The 4 weeks EV is goin out this spring,he could have easily done last spring,WHEN HE WAS ALREADY ON TOUR PROMOTING THE UKELELE CD.Maybe its just me.......

But,even a short 4-5 week tour, takes up at least 2 months between preperation for the tour and whathaveyou.I do think its great, that the band do their own thing (Soundgarden, solo stuff like Brad).I think it would just make more sense if they would spen a year apart, tour, release solo material etc...Then get back with the band, hit the studio and then go on a proper tour....

Oh well....Im just itching for some new material....
