1. I said I'd post my track listing to my mix (maybe I should have sent this as a private message). It's what I would consider to be an enjoyable compilation (did my best to make it sound like a single show) made up of official material. I probably could/should have added more b-sides and covers. Maybe next time.

  2. The fact that you tried to make it like a single show and "Yellow Ledbetter" isn't last is a sin in itself

  3. The fifth disc is intended to be a "bonus" disc. Although I do appreciate a lot of their music from the last 12 years (2000 and beyond), no one could touch them in the 1990's and it is that music that "does it" for me. So for what it's worth, "Yellow Ledbetter" was indeed intended to close the four-disc compilation.

I would like to also add, EyeswithPride (Matt), that it was your posting a few months ago of that Chicago 1995 show that rekindled my "love" for this band. Since then, I have be listening to them non-stop and got two tickets for the Sept 11 show in T.O. Don't ever think your actions have no influence on other people, my good man.

    .....

it's a fair setlist for the PJ20 festival, isn't it?
i think that for a 5 cds compilation is a good choice .. very hard to select from the 90's so an almost full selection is to be due (the first trilogy is to be taken in the whole).
about b-sides-rarities (lost dogs could be helpful for the choice and about the covers the job is harder for the tons of covers they did.
did you choose versions according to songs release period? (i know it'd be hard being from official material)
anyway like i said .. very brilliant work Matt

Oddly enough, "Leatherman" - one they've played live quite a bit - wasn't included on Lost Dogs.

  10. I took tracks ranging from 1998 to 2010. Since, unlike U2, they seem to play almost any song at any time, I didn't feel the need to take from a certain era. Also, this compilation took on a life of its own. I started out with the intention of creating a single "best of" CD using just Live on Two Legs and Live on Ten Legs. However, I felt that a few key tracks like "Dissident," "I Got Id," "Immortality," "In My Tree," etc...etc...etc were missing so I went to itunes a bought about 25 tracks (they only have 2006 concerts on the itunes in Canada) so I was up to at least three CD's. I felt I was STILL missing some important tracks (as you mentioned, nothing should be omitted from the first three albums) so I needed to get a hold of "Deep," "WMA," and "Tremor Chirst." as well as songs like "Who You Are," "Present Tense," "Faithfull," and "Light Years." So what I've ended up with is now a four-CD compilation (I rethought the five-disc version and decided to immerse the 2000's tracks into the first four CD) that I listen to EVERYDAY.

And yes, the last song on the fourth disc is indeed "Yellow Ledbetter."

Was it all "acoustic?" From the songs I know in the setlist, I would assume so.
