1. Listening to the 2003 St. Louis show. Wow...Animal, Small Town, Go, RVM, Daughter and Indifference all played in the same show. Just for that I would give this an "Ed-Man" rating.
  2. I think my U2 gigs should be listed on my profile ...that St Louis gig is fantastic, opening with Present Tense, then closing with a 9 min Daughter and then the great Indifference....I think I did give that a must have ? we must go back and check then...lol... ..If not ,then it should be,great gig...
  3. I think the first MUST HAVE's from 2003 were the two North Carolina gigs - which means I've skipped a bunch of shows from the southern States (three from Florida, two from Texas, etc.) but I do believe you mentioned St. Louis - I probably wouldn't have downloaded it in the first place if you hadn't.

I'll say it again, the spring 2003 leg is awesome - I'm really enjoying the shows. Tonnes of classics and I'm getting a chance to listen to the Riot Act songs more frequently - and I'm only on my fourth show. Hopefully Champaign tomorrow (and Sunday) and then Cleveland to start off next week....THEN Pittsburgh and Philly.
  4. Nice...the Champaign gig is amazing,as is Philly and Pitt....enjoy Matt....
  5. I don't think you recommended the Cleveland show but I had to grab at least one that included "Can't Keep" - arguably their most underrated (and underplayed) song.
  6. True,I was going to use that version of Cant Keep, for the spring mix.But I went with IAM Mine,as the rare opener, and Cant Keep in the middle of the set.
  7. Matt, let me know when you would like a list of June 2003 boots, and a mix as well....

(I try to go to more concerts now that I have kids)

Ive actually attended 25 Dave Matthews Band gigs, since 1996.He/they tour EVERY year, and are simply amazing live.My 3 shows at Randalls Island,in Sept 2011..he played over 60 different songs, not one repeat in the 3 setlists. He also played an acoustic solo set, without playing any of the songs from his bands set..total 69 different songs for the 3 gigs,1 solo set.......very impressive...

Feel free to post your mix any time you'd like. I will copy and "archive" it for later mixing of my own. However, I plan to simply stick with the April 2003 shows for now and make a compilation of that eventually. I was listening to the Champaign gig (first half, anyway) this morning while I shovelled snow. It is indeed a solid show!

I think you were right about the 2000 mixes - I should have at least done a 3- or 4-CD mix for each leg instead of just one for both. Oh, well. Something for me to do another time.
  10. Told you about Champaign...lol...for years thats been a very top rated show...

When you have so many gigs to chose from, its very hard to make such a short mix.Thats why I do Leg mixes....or mixes from 1 city or country..example being 2 Nights in Canada 03
  11. I agree. In fact, my first attempts last fall were the 2000 London, 2000 Seattle, 2003 Mexico, 2006 Leeds/Reading, and 2006 Italy. The thing was I tried to compress it all onto two CD's, whick was okay, but either essential songs were sacrificed (e.g.,"Not For You" in Mexico or "Wishlist" in Italy) or they weren't played at all (e.g., "Jeremy" in London, "I Got Shit" in Seattle, "Indifference" in Mexico, or "Immortality" in Italy). I'm still looking for that magical (small) set of shows that has my own "essential" 40 or so songs - it's probably out there somewhere, I just haven't looked closely enough. In any case, I'll probably need three "discs" to make the perfect compilation. Until then, it's show by show - and that's turning out to be a good thing.
  12. Listening to Cleveland 2003 show now (I'm doing two shows at a time over the course of a few days). Read some posts at 10c that EV had a bad fall at the end of this show.
