1. Yes....its short,but very solid...
  2. I suppose I shouldn't complain too much about the cover song - they still play at least 25 of their own songa every show.
  3. Ah, the Grammy Awards....affirmation that I am completely out of touch with popular music culture.

  4. "I'm sorry but this means nothing to me."
like someone well known said back in years hehe

anyway very glad that a Real rock band Got Some
  5. ^What the heck was Radiohead doing in the "rock" categories. TKoL isn't rock music...is it?

Like the St. Louis gig did with Vs, the Champaign gig did quite well with playing Ten tunes. Along with Deep, you get Even Flow, Jeremy, Porch, Black, and Alive. You don those five songs (the five most frequently played songs in the band's history) played at the same show too much anymore.

    On to Pittsburgh.
  6. No,KOL isnt rock, its loop music.Radiohead get nominated..because they are Radiohead, and the Academy love them.Im actually quite shocked they didnt win.

Pitt 03 is a great gig Matt...Even Flow is wild.Immortality,Alive,Footsteps....
  7. they didn't win Best Alternative Music Album either
  8. I'm glad Radiohead didn't win. Most overrated band in musical history.
  9. ^I disagree with you on the overrrated point but TKoL doesn't deserve any awards. They have won that award (Best Alternative Album) for OK Computer, Kid A and In Rainbows - all three of which were nominated (but didn't win) Album on the Year.

Started listening to it on my walk to work this morning.

    Great start to this show....
    - the awesome "Small Town" to start (although I prefer it a bit later in the set since it, i) gives the crowd a bit more time to "warm up" for the sing-along and, ii) doesn't guarantee songs like Sometimes, Release, or Long Road won't get played
    - they kick into four great (best?) rockers from four other albums (Hail Hail, Save You, Corduroy, and Insignificance)
    - slowed things down with "Cropduster" next. I'm still warning up to that song.

Arrived at work at this point so will have to wait until later to continue. I have noticed that they only played THREE songs from Riot Act at this show.
  11. more on Pitt '03

    - Daughter is (as usual) solid but no "It's Okay" tag. They seem to do it one tour and not another. (i.e., Played the tag frequently in 2000, 2006, 2011 but not 2003 (yet?) and 2010).
    - Even Flow has an excellent rendition here - nice to see as I was getting a bit bored of it (gasp!)
    - Faithfull (no complaints - one of my all-time favourites)
    - a great Whipping - pumps some energy into the set
    - Immortality...just beautiful, I love this song. I think Ronnie was right, however, when he said it should only be played from time to time - makes it's appearance that much more special.

Got home at this point and haven't had a chance to listen to anymore - yet!
  12. Pitt is great,..... wait til you hear Philly (great)..then Albany (solid) then Nassau (great).....
