1. Well, I've finished Buffalo and am well into Penn State now. Both are excellent shows although I don't know if I'd rate either one the best of the Spring 2003 tour. You do get quite a bit of everything between the two concerts, but I still think they should have played more of Riot Act (at least 8 of the 15 songs per show?) back then. It's interesting how they'll play a lot of Ten and Vs each night but aside from Better Man and Corduroy, the rest of Vitalogy seems somewhat of a rare occasion. This still seems to be the case with their performances. Anyway, as I said, both are great shows and I plan to listen to them again before "moving on."

A couple negative notes just to create conversation/debate:
I can't say that I'm much of a Sting fan and I don't think that "Driven to Tears" is right for PJ.
I realize that it wasn't rehearsed so I should be too hard on them, but the impromptu performance of Satan's Bed was pretty rough.
  2. DTT was played alot in '03 for its political message,I do agree seems weird for PJ to play a tune by the Police...
  3. Ed, Matt thought I should ask you... care to recommend the best live version ever of Go? Or some of them.
  4. I love the version from Ireland,06.01.00..great funny story before..and the version of Go is a killer...long fade - out..try that version..its great....
  5. Oh, Ireland... might get the entire gig. You reckon PJ are good in Ireland?
  6. Sure...they love Europe...Go from East Troy 10.08.00 and also from Boise 11.03.00 are great as well....
  7. The story was indeed funny. Listening to Go now. Gotta love pearljambootlegs.com.

2000 must've been a great year for Go then Hope they play it in Stockholm. Damn, if I listen to all their albums ahead of Stockholm my wishlist will have a hundred songs...
  8. I love the 2000 tour..it was the first year when they released every show..Atlanta 04.03.94 is also solid..but I prefer those 3 versions from 2000
  9. Most versions are only 3 min long..but the version from Ireland is like 5 min with that long fade...
  10. I've always thought Eddie's voice was a little bit on the 2000 shows I've heard stuff from actually.
  11. Hmm, since I have the number one PJ expert on the forum here... Is Deep any good live? It's the least-good song on Ten in my opinion. I could imagine it being killer live though.
  12. LOL...Im not an expert.....just a fan...

Deep wasnt played much after 1994...so Id go with a nice version from the Atlanta show,04.03.94

Deep was played live again on the 2003 tour...great version from Champaign 04.23.03
