  4. IMO,PJ are better live, than in the studio....The songs from No Code,Yeild and Binaural all sound way better live...

Any good band is, really. And yeah, PJ are great live.
  6. Well, I think I'm all done Spring 2003 - awesome leg (at least the 12 shows I've listened to over the past couple of weeks were!). I think I may take a (short) break before I move on to the second NA leg - maybe listen to some Radiohead or maybe even U2 (how novel) over the next week - along with the recent PJ 2000 mix I made.

Just to to get myself prepared, what shows should I listen to from June - and late-May, of course? I'm aware that there are about 8 shows in July that I'll have to revisit, too.

    So far I have:

    Vancouver
    San Diego
    Phoenix
    Chicago
    East Troy
    2x Clarkson
    Toronto
    Montreal

I will get Montana, as well.

Am I missing any "Ed-Man" shows? Are any of the ones I listed above not worth the effort?
  7. Vancouver and Phoenix are good shows, but I wouldnt say they are mandatory listens. There are much better shows to listen to,IMO.

I would start with Montana (05.28),take a listen to San Fran (06.01) and LA N1 (06.02),Both are very good.San Diego (06.05) is a classic.Dallas (06.09) is very very good.Opens with Alive,Daughter has Of The Girl tag at the end.

Bonner Springs (06.12) is very short, but very good. There was a massive storm during the gig.Release is very powerful at the start.Council Bluffs (06.13) is also very good.Fargo (06.15) is good, but Ed is sick, and he has trouble at times. These 3 shows, are VERY popular,in the PJ commune, and refer to these gigs as the Big 3.I like them, but IMO,I feel they are a bit overrated. Some of the PJ diehards would be terribly vexed,if they read that.....LOL....But,you should definitely give them a listen.

    Chicago (06.18) is a classic,as is East Troy (06.21).Love those 2 gigs.

Noblesville (06.22) is another classic.Band are very tight.Columbus (06.24) is classic as well, very powerful. Before Fuckin Up,Vedder says "This is George W's favorite song." That,I admit, made me laugh.Show was supposed to end there, but they come back for a 3rd encore, play YL.

2 great gigs in Detroit (06.25,26),Toronto (06.28) and Montreal (06.29) follow.Very solid month of gigs.

    Have fun Matt........
  8. Listening to Vitalogy for the first time (finally). You people who followed PJ back then must have been insanely excited when Spin The Black Circle came out.
  9. Spin the Black Circle rules.
  10. Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me

    Brilliant.
  11. You're very open-minded, Mr. Trek.
  12. Anyone got an idea on how to get that Champaign gig in lossless? The mp3s on pearljambootlegs.org are only 128kbit/s. I really would like to give that gig a listen.
