This is not a very good thing to do for audio quality. Since the tracks from pjboots are in 128kbit/s... This is what they will be in on the CD as well. When you rip that CD to 256kbit/s with iTunes, you're compressing them again! It would be a lot better to just put the files you downloaded from pjboots directly on your iPod by dragging them to iTunes. It would save space on your iPod as well

Yeah, when you rip those CDs with iTunes, you're converting them to 256kbit/s. On the CD, the tracks are in higher quality.

  3. Yep:

    1994-04-03 - Atlanta
    1995-03-17 - Melbourne (excellent show)
    1996-11-03 - Berlin
  4. I remembered you talking about Melbourne in here... and really liked the date, since all the PJ albums I have had been released, and no other album had, so the setlist should be great for me... so I started downloading that one before that post Kieran. Will go for the others when Melbourne is done.

This may save my ratio at Jam River... since a torrent with all of these has been uploaded there and is unfinished.
  5. You may have not heard of 'State of Love and Trust' (that's a b-side from Ten & on the 'Singles' soundtrack) & Lukin (which is a 1 minute song from the next album 'No Code'). But still, that won't really matter.

  6. Nice... ..I will have to check out a few of those....I wonder if the Berlin gigs sounds better now...

I thought at first, they were being released....

Lukin will be fine as it was the same for those on that concert. I'm going chronologically

  8. Ron,I downloaded Berlin..this remaster sounds much better than the old version. Its crisp, and it isnt muddy like the old version.Ed vocals sound better. Its 272 kbps (VBR),the old version is 128 kbps...

    A MUST DOWNLOAD......

PJ need to release these gigs
  9. I too just downloaded the Berlin 1996 gig (remaster). It blows the old version out of the water - so good. Great setlist, to boot.

    "Ed-Man" for sure.
  10. I have (re)downloaded a couple others (SLC '95 and Melbourne '95) - already have Atlanta '94 (not from here but the one I have sounds awesome already). Anyway, did anyone get a chance to download some of the others. If so, how the sound compared to, say, Berlin?
