1. yes .. my deep "disappointment" (just for using a kind word not completely representing the feeling vs mr Severson III) lighten up the definitive decision for my personal line-up
Mark Lanegan in less than a couple of weeks
then Soundgarden - Bruce Springsteen - Chris Cornell this summer
it's still more no for Radiohead

    satisfying indeed anyway

Listening to the Council Bluffs show now - then off to bed. I think I skipped the Bonner Springs show...will listen to it tomorrow...and then Fargo.

(The only two June 2003 shows that I am skipping are Little Rock and St. Paul. Are they worth a listen, Ed, or should I just move on?)

They are good gigs.....not great IMO..St Paul is the better of the 2...Ed calls a fan up,and has him sing Lukin...that's worth listening to the show, just for that....

Just take it slow Matt....its hard to listen to all these gigs....it can be a bit much,I don't want you to OD on PJ..lol....I'm listening to alot of live DMB..they have close to 60 gigs released....live trax 15 is amazing..Alpine 08.09.08.........

I'm seenin Vedder in May at Ft Lauderdale....been listening to his solo live DVD a lot....must have show..love it....
  3. That DVD is on the list for my birthday... hope I'll get it. I've seen some of it on Youtube and it seems to be really nice...

I'm thinking about whether or not to listen to No Code today, or put it off a little while longer.
  4. No Code has great songs....I just hate the way they were recorded...nontheless,its a solid release..Habit , Red Mosquito, In My Tree sound good...Sometimes EV just mumbles through it......they just sound alot better live IMO....

I guess I'll have to listen to some nice remastered concert as well then. Maybe I'll put it off a few more days.

I will listen to the Fargo show (almost done it as a matter of fact) and St. Paul and then take some time off - maybe listen to some Radiohead for a week - before moving on to eight big shows in June and, eventually, the historic July concerts.

  8. reporting without any emotion

In a phone interview last Friday, guitarist Mike McCready told the Weekly that Pearl Jam has officially began work on its tenth studio album. "We started yesterday," McCready said. Contrary to other reports, McCready said the band began work on the album only Thursday last week. He confirmed that the Seattle quintet has started to flush out demos internally and will be working with longtime producer/collaborator Brendan O'Brien on the record.

"We're in the process of everyone bringing their demos and getting their songs out there," he added.
Though in its very early stages, Pearl Jam fans will undoubtedly be
pleased that despite its members each working on their own projects
right now, the ground has been broken. (We were actually on the phone with McCready to talk about his band Flight to Mars, which makes an OC stop at the Observatory in May.) There is no timetable on the new Pearl Jam album's
release date. As McCready said, there's no rush to finish recording
    either. Stay tuned.
  9. They "just started' ? ...wow,I thought Stone said a couple of days ago "8 or 9 tunes are done"....hmmm
  10. Originally posted by EDDMB:Stone Gossard said in todays NME,that the band are "not in a rush",but that they may be "only a song or 2 away" from finishing the new album. He also said there is "no urgency" to finish.

Hmm.......The band have so much going on..solo projects and all....I wish they would just spend 6 months in the studio and release an album..but thats just me....

    ..
  11. next U2 album will come out first
