I never got into Neil Young much, his voice always turned me away....Dave Matthews,Eddie Vedder both love Neil Young and I like their versions of his tunes much better.... both DM and EV would slap me for saying that Im sure...lol
Matt..I have another suggestion..how about a Mansfield mix...called simply..3 nights in Mansfield '03 ??
That's a good idea - one that I had considered a while back. You do indeed get a TONNE of tunes over those three nights (no Last Exit, unfortunately) - and I was in Boston in 2003 (saw the BoSox, not PJ). However, I won't start making smaller mixes until AFTER I have made my 2003 MEGA-mix that covers both NA legs.
I suppose I should wait to give you the "go ahead" until I've finished all the 2003 NA shows. I'm listening to the two Detroit shows this weekend. Good shows, obviously, but not as good as some of the others, to be honest. However, feel free to post when you are ready.
If you want me to put something together for the three Mnasfield shows for you, just say the word.
I still haven't downloaded the final two US shows from that tour (Hershey and Holmdel) - they seem to be a bit anti-climatic after the crazy July 11, Mansfield show. Still, are they worth the listen?
Like I need to tell you, but these are the 2003 songs to work from ….songs in brackets might not make the cut due to limited play on the tour and my four-disc limit. Now we need venues...clean/cool/original performances...a good ratio between the two NA legs (2 spring for every 3 summer?)...as many shows represented as possible without sacrificing solid performances....I will, as much as you disagree, probably have mulitple openers to start...can't cut Long Road and/or Release and must have Can't Keep.

Hershey and Holmdel are very good shows,Holmdel being the better of the 2...give them a listen. At the Hershey gig,Ed yells out "Fuck this fuckin' Chocolate factory !"..and they bang out Last Exit.He drinks alot at this gig. Some girl lifts her shirt and EV goes off on her saying.."Hey guys, look at my mosquito bites !!!"..funny stuff...
The Holmdel gig is great,a more polished gig than Hershey.Wash opens,Once,Even Flow,Go,Dissident,Corduroy,Nothingman,I Got Shit,IN MY TREE,Present Tense,Given To Fly...thats an amazing run there to open this gig..Porch is rockin...Growin Up is played by EV for the Boss...Hunger Strike sounds good with Corin,Yellow Led ends it..3 encores....IMO..an excellent gig.....on the downside, there are too many covers,4 IMO, is too much...and only 2 tunes off Riot Act...
