1. Insanity Post for you, Ed.

Like I need to tell you, but these are the 2003 songs to work from ….songs in brackets might not make the cut due to limited play on the tour and my four-disc limit. Now we need venues...clean/cool/original performances...a good ratio between the two NA legs (2 spring for every 3 summer?)...as many shows represented as possible without sacrificing solid performances....I will, as much as you disagree, probably have mulitple openers to start...can't cut Long Road and/or Release and must have Can't Keep.

  2. Hershey and Holmdel are very good shows,Holmdel being the better of the 2...give them a listen. At the Hershey gig,Ed yells out "Fuck this fuckin' Chocolate factory !"..and they bang out Last Exit.He drinks alot at this gig. Some girl lifts her shirt and EV goes off on her saying.."Hey guys, look at my mosquito bites !!!"..funny stuff...

The Holmdel gig is great,a more polished gig than Hershey.Wash opens,Once,Even Flow,Go,Dissident,Corduroy,Nothingman,I Got Shit,IN MY TREE,Present Tense,Given To Fly...thats an amazing run there to open this gig..Porch is rockin...Growin Up is played by EV for the Boss...Hunger Strike sounds good with Corin,Yellow Led ends it..3 encores....IMO..an excellent gig.....on the downside, there are too many covers,4 IMO, is too much...and only 2 tunes off Riot Act...
  3. As a matter of fact...Im going to listen to the Holmdel gig now Matt..oh..by the way..my NY Rangers beat your Leafs last night in Toronto !!!!..lol
  4. Congrats but I'm a Sabres fan, remember, and "we" be your beloved NYR on Friday night!

Ryan Miller is on a hot streak.
  5. Ah true....they will be a tough out no question...
  6. I will get those last two US shows then.

The second night in Detroit is better than the first, imo. Looking forward to the two Canadian shows.
  7. I think you will enjoy them Matt...at the Hershey gig,EV is kinda blasted...lol
  8. Forgot to mention how much I enjoyed the "In My Tree" from the second Detroit show - had a slightly different "vibe" to it.
  9. I forgot to ask you yesterday...did you listen to the July gigs yet ? ....I know you asked about Holmdel and Hershey...what about Mansfield 1,2 and 3..MsG 1 and 2 and the 2 Camden gigs...?? All fantastic shows..I'm biased about the 2 NYC gigs that I attended, but EV said that show (july 8,03) was one of,if not "the best" by the band.

I think a few gigs from April (Pitt,Philly,Nassau),a couple from June (East Troy,Chicago) and a few choice gigs from July (Mansfield gigs,Camden and NYC shows) should do it Matt.

Do you want every show represented in the Madness 2003 mix ?
  10. Not EVERY show, but I plan to include a bunch...

From the April/May shows, I think St. Louis, Champaign, maybe Albany, Buffalo, and State College (along with the three you mentioned, of course) should have representation. From the May/June shows, I'd also like a bit of music from the west Coast shows and maybe a song or two from the mid-west gigs. Not too concerned about including the Canadian shows - they will likely get "special attention" in the future. The July shows should obviously have representation here (I listened to mnay of them last summer - not since, however).
  11. A question for you PJ experts... Is there any concert of the ones that have been released in soundboard where Chris Cornell joins the band? I'd love to listen to that.
  12. There's one in 2009 where CC joins them for Hunger Strike. I can't remember where or the exact date off hand. Ed would know. I can look it up later.
