  1. Matt,have you started you 2003 mix yet ??

    IMO,the April gigs have some really fantastic versions of tunes.Philly and Pitt being the best gigs,with Nassau and Champaign following..I will list a few here...

    Atlanta 04.19-Crown Of Thorns
    Chanpaign 04.23-Deep,Thumbing My Way,You Are,Habit,Driven To Tears
    Pitt 04.26-Even Flow,Footsteps,Immortality,Hail Hail,Once

    Albany 04.29- All or None,Ghost
    Nassau 04.30- RVM,Blood,NFY,Bushleaguer
  2. I am itching to begin, Ed. I just didn't want to "nag" you.

    I have made my own lists (don't have them here at work) but recognize some commonalities between ours.

    Trying to keep it to four CD's - although five is certainly a possibility. Unless they are absolute classics, songs that weren't played around ten times won't be able to make the cut. I have made a few exceptions, however, most notably "Sometimes" since it isn't making it onto my 2006 compilation - only played once that year and was majorly "flubbed."

  6. by the way Matt do you remember the count of the songs played in Canada and South America?
  7. There were about 105 different songs played in Canada. I don't think there was quite as much variety in SA as I have a feeling they "only" played about 90 or so different songs. These shows, on average, had longer sets, however.

    According to setlist.fm, they played about 130 different songs between over 23 shows in 2011 - this list of songs also included the two East Troy shows and the Jimmy Fallon appearance along with the 10 shows in Canada and 10 shows in SA.

    came in mind looking at the numbers of the Boss' tour so far .. not at this level but still very amazing (he's promoting an album anyway)

    that Canadian dates were/are incredible
  9. The June 2003 gigs are hard to pick from..because there are so many quality shows,East Troy and Chicago being the BEST..IMO.

    Release from Bonner Springs (06.12) is a rather stunning version ,in the rainstorm.Faithfull,LBC from Council Bluffs (06.13),Crazy Mary from Fargo (06.15)..these 3 shows MUST be represented...

    Matt,as I have mentioned in the past..these 3 gigs are hailed as "sacred gigs" in the PJ communities, and to not have them in a 2003 mix would be blasphemous to some of the hardcore elite (Im being serious).....IMO they are solid,but way overrated..but,thats just me....I have had many an argument about these gigs at PJ pre shows....and have been told I have to "respect the BIG 3 gigs"...one guy told me that he was "shocked that such a hardcore fan as myself had no respect".......DO AS YOU WISH......lol.

    I too really like the Canadian 2011 shows. The sound quality on the bootlegs is incredible - Eddie's voice reall standouts. That said, I find that some of the songs they pulled out during the second half of the tour (Western Canada) were a bit disappointing. Choosing say, "Comatose" over "In Hiding" or "Parachutes" over "Oceans" wasn't the best decision in my opinion. Also, the SA shows were generally a bit longer with more impressive encores thatn the Canadian ones.


  11. I'm looking at about 74 songs right now just squeezing onto four CD's. The majority of the shows (especially from June and July) will have representation - including Council Bluffs, Bonner Springs, and Fargo. I'm trying to figure out a way to post what I've done so far without having to type it all out from scratch.

    they never had problems in choosing "lower" songs in their rotations

    the second encores of the SA tour are shocking at least hehe
