    This is from ArtistDirect‘s new interview with Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard:
    Are you working on new Pearl Jam simultaneously as you’re touring with BRAD?
    We’re always picking away at this new record. We’re plugging along, and it’s taking shape. It’s pretty exciting.
    What’s the most exciting aspect of this process?
    Trying not to recreate Backspacer is one of the things we want to do. We want to make sure we’re not just locking ourselves in. We want to keep expanding our horizons. We’re still writing, and what it’s going to be is still up in the air.

    Mike McCready said on WFPK today that Pearl Jam have 15 ideas so far for their new record that is tentatively set for release in 2013. 2-3 of them are outtakes/demos from the Backspacer sessions.

    again Stone and Mike being a little contradictory to each other ...
  2. listening to the Foro Sol Mexico '11 audience bootleg .. the unfortunate one
    quality is surely not that good .. uhm lets say 2 stars/2 stars and half using U2start standard hehe

  3. Given that we have such high-quality bootlegs from the first eight SA 2011 shows, I doubt I'd be able to listen to a 2-star recording. Oh well, 18 shows from 2011 (10 from Canada and 8 from South America) ain't too shabby.

  7. I don't know if the Costa RIca show offered anything significant in terms of something new to the set - aside from the only performance of "Deep" on the SA/CA leg of the tour. Plus it had a relatively short setlist.

    I am hoping we can combine our resources again later on this year when the 2012 European boots come out - provided that you don't hold too much of a grudge that they are skipping Italy.

    If you mean trade boots with each other... I'll obviously buy Stockholm since I'll be in attendance

  11. i'm done with my grudge hehe .. mainly it concerned the EV solo tour not the PJ which has its little sense (probably)
    EV tour makes no sense .. just few days and where he was days before .. in its first solo (learn from Chris Eddie)
    among other things, from what i know, the behaviour of Eddie (his management) during the negotiations time was regrettable

    anyway of course i will follow the tour with all that follow .. so i'm in Matt
