1. One additional comment:

You may think I am being to (North) American-centric (that's probably not a word) with these mixes. Where's Europe? Where's Australia? Here's why:

    2000 Europe: Awesome shows but...
    i) The sound level on the shows is much lower than the two NA legs - although it is relatively easy to increase it.
ii) I did make a London mix.
iii) No "In My Tree," "Breath," or "Parting Ways" at all in Europe that spring - all three were played in the US that summer/fall.

2003 Australia/Japan: To be honest, I haven't listened to any of them (I will - one day) but some essential PJ songs (Animal and In My Tree (again!) come to mind) were not played.

    2006 European Tour
    i) I did two 2-CD mixes already - Italy and Leeds/Reading
ii) No "Immortality" at all in Europe. Heartbreaking.

Finally, I didn't include any Canadian perfromances in these compilations. I'm "saving them for later" - hit the deck and you'll find out (why).
  2. tsk tsk you have a marked PJ attitude .. snobbing Europe hehe
kidding of course .. i remember very well your italian job

they were always very inspired there in Canada
  3. Jeez, I was just going to post that But well done, Sergio

Yeah, I noticed all the hate. He's making a nice comment about their band, why hate on him?
  4. Matt,as always great job.....when you get a chance,listen toPhilly..10.03.05.......AMAZING SHOW !!!!!

  5. Oh, yeah....I never "caught" those five US shows in 2005. Any interesting "history" behind them? Are the other four any good?

2005 (along with Europe 2000 and many of 2009...any Bonnaroo 2008..and...you get my drift) are on the "to do" list.
  6. Speaking of shows I didn't realize happened:

Up until last night, I thought the Toronto show was the only gig PJ played in Canada in 2000. I wasn't aware they'd played Montreal the night before.

    Huh.

I know what I'll be listening to over the weekend.
  7. Looking through some older gigs, those final two 1995 gigs in San Diego would be a nice two-pack to get from the PJ "vault." There aren't too many of that weren't played in at least one of those two shows.
  8. listening to the Indio '93 soundboard remaster ... the famous "shoes" show

i got shoes, i got a shirt... i need a cap and some shorts .. somebody throw up a gun so i can shoot you all fuckers ... ah, I meant that with love.

Hhahahahaha, classic gig..I havent listened to that show in ages...
  10. Didn't Eddie say the band (Jeff and Stone, anyway) were going to beat up anyone who went through the exits at the end of the show with barefeet?

    Ha!
