1. I'll start with Toronto and move from there.

AFTER I finish with Montreal 2000, Las Vegas 1993, and Seattle 1992 - and this Live on THREE Legs compilation.
  2. Last thoughts on St Johns N1 Matt...very solid version of Cant Keep opens...(a song you like alot)....mistakes all over Grievance...Even Flow and GTF don't have their usual intense feeling for some reason.....but NAIS is fantastic....and I like Lukin followed by You for a change up.....from Present Tense on is where this show shines IMO Matt....I love the acoustic start of Encore 1..followed by Black and RVM...

Encore 2."We have played to 180,000 of you on this tour...mind you, that's 2 gigs for the Rolling Stones, but we like to get to know the people we are playing for".. classic..... this encore is fantastic, and I already went on and on about it yesterday..........

A cold rainy day here in NYC,time for some hot tea and on to the Vancouver gig 09.02.05...similar weather, great music.
  3. Today I will be listening to the "Drop in the Park" show and, probably, Las Vegas 1993.

A 2005 mix will happen - one day. I will likely include songs from the five US shows - that'll take care of the omission-of-Once issue. Like the 2003 mix, I vow to listen to all those shows first. I still "owe" that to the 2000 and 2006 shows.

A tough loss for your NYR last night. That second Washington goal must have been gutting.
  4. Brutal loss..DZ hit the post..twice !!..the back to back penalties, for the Caps was a joke..late in the 3rd,tie game....2 bad calls against us ? really ?...they will pick it up...I can not attend Game 5,its my daughters 18th birthday....If there is a game 7 ?.May 12th....Im going to WPB..Mr Vedder was supposed to be in Ft Lauderdale !!!...

Im still going with my wife....and I will also miss game 1, if we make it to the Con Finals....I would love to tell Eddie about that...lol
  5. What? Your soon-to-be-18-year-old daugther doesn't want to watch playoff hockey with you on her 18th?

    First Coldplay and now this?

Forgot to mention that I listened to the 1992 Unplugged show in its entirity for the first time. Short but very sweet (not sugary sweet but cool sweet).

I still have to pick up that Benaroya (I used to call it "Benroyal") Hall set from 2006. It's available on itunes but I want a physical copy. Maybe I'll get it through pj.com.
  6. Hahahaha...She's good with hockey, but no..that wasn't in her plans to go watch the Rangers that night...lol..we are going to shock her (and our other 3 kids) with a Disney Cruise...going June 2nd for 8 nights..Disney has boats from Manhattan now...but,I failed to notice, when I booked this many months ago...that early June is the start of the Stanley Cup finals...so get this Matt....if they go,I will be on a cruise in the Bahamas...lol..my ticket partner has been laughing at me for months...but,as we know, the playoffs in all sports is a crapshoot Matt....the "best" team almost never wins anymore..and if there is a game 7 this round,I will be in Florida...some lead singer,of some band, was supposed to be there that weekend..but cancelled on me...lol

    Benaroya Hall is a great acoustic gig..and is a MUST HAVE,no question..but its from Oct 2003 Matt,not 2006...

I still don't see what that has to do with you not taking her to the Rangers game. Have the "news" flashed on the scoreboard!

    I can just see it:

"Happy 18th Birthday! We're going to Disney!"

You'll make local highlight reels (at least in the NYC-area) for sure!
  8. Just listening to the Moore Theater show (1992) - great performance.

I'll finish post later - kid screaming.

    [MUCH LATER]

    Aaahhhhh....parenting.

    It can suck sometimes.

Anyway, The Moore Theater "Vault" show sounds amazing. Great, energetic performance. After listening to so many bootlegs from the 2000's, it's almost weird listening to the band, specifically Eddie, a decade earlier. Ten is a very raw album compared to any of their others and it is really cool listening to a younger, more naive Vedder sing and speak. I have to admit, however, that I do somewhat prefer hearing songs from Vs and Vitalogy mixed into the set. I guess I just love all three of those albums equally.

The "Drop in the Park" is just as good as the previous one. I'm listening to the mp3's (as opposed to a vinyl rip) from the show. Unfortunately, each track fades in and out as opposed to one continuous show - kind of like U22 will more than likely be.

I will (finally) listen to Las Vegas 1993 (in its entirity) tonight and tomorrow.

Ha Ha Ha.classic idea.....that would be great Matt, but my Ranger ticket partner and I really only go with each other to playoff games, unless something comes up..like trips to Florida,or a Disney Cruise..lol...If her birthday was during the regular season, then yes..I would have tried that..no question...
  10. Ooooh, I really like the performance of "Alive" from the Drop in the Park.
  11. I listened to Vancouver 09.02.05 this afternoon.I havent heard this show in its entirety in ages....

Have to say,the band are a bit off here,at least during a good portion of the main set ..

Release starts things off,and sounds very good...but EV flubs a verse 4 min in..kinda spoiled it for me...Go kicks off what should have been a very rockin run,it wasnt...Animal,Save You,GTF,Corduroy, that should have killed it.....it didnt......the band sound good..but not great..

Im sure, this had something to do with the marathon Gorge show, that was performed just one day before this gig....the intensity just isnt there..

Example.....EV sings GTF...he doesnt SCREAM "a wave came crashing like a fist to the jaw, delivered him wings said look at me now, arms wide open" etc..he just kinda..sings it...thats really how I judge that song, and or the whole bands performance.I can just..tell ....right off.....if they are ON or OFF..this night ,they are OFF...at least for the first part of this show...

Corduroy sounds like they are going through the motions...

LBC is a train wreck...EV forgets half the second verse, and mumbles other lines...not good.

After a somewhat blah version of 1/2 Full..the band wake up finally...EV chats up the crowd and a good version of Daughter is played...it was starting to get groovy,.but kinda just...ends.....other tours (2000) the band would jam out during Daughter ,for close to 8-10 min at times..and I miss the Its OK tag !!!!!

Immortality and Nothingman save the main set,and flow very nice back to back here..very solid versions, nice smooth sounding solo by Mike during Immortality.Nothingman is spot on,I cant really hear the crowd, but this is a near perfect version...

A blistering version of Blood ends this uneven main set....the Atomic Dog tag is great..and I need it during all versions...

I will review the Encores tomorrow..I was tied up with the Flyer/Devils game..I hope they kill each other for 7 full games Matt...lol
