1. Great clips Ron...in the RITFW clip,Bono seems to have no voice, what year is that from ? 2009,2010 ?
  2. Todays classic Canadian 2005 gig,is a show I attended..........Montreal,09.15.05

  3. 2006 .. the first U-Jam in Make Poverty History concert in Melbourne .. the second last date of Vertigo
  4. Ah.....right before the great PJ/U2 gig...I forgot Bono had the "short hair" starting in '06.

  5. Lol, I really like Bono's voice there... especially when he's screaming. The audio is quite poor though.

  6. I was planning to "wait" on that one but maybe I'll listen to this one (as well as Quebec City and Halifax) over the next couple of days and we can "discuss" when you get back from Florida.

    Enjoy the beaches.

  7. I love how PJ respects their (agruably) "superiors" ("predecessors" might be a better term) and opens for bands like U2, The Stones, and even Tom Petty.

For whatever reason, I never really appreciated Tom Petty. I was shocked that he was a half-time show at the Super Bowl a few years back.

(Pearl Jam will be soon - if they want to be, that is).
  8. My favorites on Yield ATM are Given To Fly, Do The Evolution, Wishlist and In Hiding. Great songs.
  9. Those are arguably the best songs on the album (althoug I am a big fan of Faithfull).

Given to Fly and Wishlist were singles. Do the Evolution was a video single (PJ's first videos in years at the time) and if you listen to Live on Ten Legs, EV states, "This is a song that I thought would be a single" before breaking into In Hiding.
  10. Wishlist is something I wish I had written. Not that song precisely... But the Wishlist theme is simple brilliance. I'll probably write my own Wishlist song some time. I thought of writing a song like that before I knew of Wishlist the PJ song.
  11. Admittedly, I didn't Wishlist at first - found it a bit too subdued. However, after listening to the lyrics a little more closely, I really begain to appreciate the song.
  12. Wishlist was recored like that Matt....dull,low..Ed mumbling...ala No Code...live,of course it sounds great. The guitar riff jumps out,Eds voice is clear, the drums sound clear.....if it was recorded loud and clear...it would have been a huge hit.....I guess Ed was against that....en route to Ft Lauderdale..at least the New York Mets are in Florida...too bad EV cancelled....
