Admittedly, I didn't Wishlist at first - found it a bit too subdued. However, after listening to the lyrics a little more closely, I really begain to appreciate the song.
Wishlist was recored like that Matt....dull,low..Ed mumbling...ala No Code...live,of course it sounds great. The guitar riff jumps out,Eds voice is clear, the drums sound clear.....if it was recorded loud and clear...it would have been a huge hit.....I guess Ed was against that....en route to Ft Lauderdale..at least the New York Mets are in Florida...too bad EV cancelled....
I have really been enjoying the 1995 Washington remaster - thanks for bringing it up earlier this week, Olof. Depsite it missing a few of the "hits," their perfromance is awesome and the sound quality is incredible.
It's also interesting to hear them address the replacement of Dave Abbruzzese for Jack Irons on drums.
Here's hoping he'll keep playing those songs for a long time to come.
I've been listening to the 1992 Utrecht show - a good one. It's funny how the crowd keeps requesting Hunger Strike - EV eventually gives in a does an a cappella version of part of the song.
