1. I will go back and get it so I can add it to the "archives."

I'm downloading Edmonton as I type. I figure that I might as well complete the 2005 shows before moving on to 2009.

  2. Found it (from 19 days ago). The review is shorter than the others. Also, the encores are mentioned in the same post.
  3. One last reflection on the Vancouver show:

"Daughter" better be the soon-to-be-seven-year-old "Wolfgang's" favourite song one day.

    Lucky kid.
  4. They get big quick Matt..my youngest is 7,the twins will be 11 already,my oldest is 18,and downloading Lukin ...the extended edit version no less !!!!...lol..
  5. European Tour starts a month today.

Interesting fact: The song "Deep" hasn't been played in Europe since 1993!

("Leash" hasn't been played in Canada since 1993, as well)

...and "Oceans" hasn't been played in Europe since 1996 (London).
  6. nice tweet from the Isle of Wight account

are you slightly inviting PJ to play them? hehe
  8. I am hoping that PJ plays all of the songs from Ten (and Vs...and Vitalogy) on this European Tour.
  9. Just finished Calgary 2005.

Funny thing about this 2005 tour...EV kept mentioning the new album they were working on (Avocado) and a few times stated that it was the best thing they'd ever done.

    Um.....
  10. They also mentioned Donald Rumsfeld (the then-US Secretary of Defense) a few times on the tour. I'm not going to get politcal here but PJ didn't speak to highly of him. However, I mention this only for his nickname - "Rummy."

    Yikes.
  11. Montreal,QC 09.15.05....My show.....The band open with Release..a stunning version..dedicated to Johnnny Ramone, who died 1 yr to the day.Solid versions of Corduroy and Last Exit follow.I remember all the fans around me ,going just wild during these 3 songs.

Animal, has everyone going again after a decent version of Save You.EV thanks the crowd after Animal, and states there must have been "alot of fucking going on in Montreal, cause it wasnt this popular last time we were here"..crowd are very loud at this point of the gig.Really good version of I Believe is Miracles is played for Johnny.

Solid versions of the Binaural tunes Light Years and Grievance are played.I like these songs, but the crowd sagged at this point.Alot of the energy was just sucked out. This continues, with the Lost Dog (should have made Binaural) tune Sad.I like this tune, but now the crowd were like WTF ? Terrible spot.Ed screws up the lyrics at the start.Decent version, but a classic should have been played here,no question.State Of Love and Trust or Go ? Once maybe ?

GTF picks things up.I love this tune, but Ed sounds a bit gassed here.I did not notice this at the show of course,I was screaming along with the audience.

LBC follows, now I was like come on guys.Ed gets all political here after the song.Starts bashing Bush, bla bla bla.Needless to say,I hit the head at this point.More Molson for me.More Bush bashing, more beer. The band almost lost the crowd here. They became restless, and wanted some old tunes.

Even I was like,Ed,shut the fuck up already and play some classics. He does, and the band play Betterman,Even Flow,In My Tree,Do The Evolution,LUKIN and Porch.....Amen....

During the Betterman intro, the crowd ate it up.Alot of fans singing along around me,getting back into the gig.I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend tag sounded great live.

Killer version of Even Flow follows.Mike rips the crap out of his solo,as if he,and the fans were waiting for this moment all night.Jeff was jumping up and down like crazy during Mikes solo.Like a human pogo stick.Band jam,and kind of stop after Mikes solo, weird. Then pick it up again.

During the start of In My Tree, I lost my mind a bit.I was so pumped to hear this. This made the drive from NYC worth it.Great version.

DTE was great, and got the crowd into wild frenzy.Lukin follows, everyone around me going crazy. The wild party continues with Porch, closing out the set with a vengeance.

When this band want to,they can rock the shit out of an audience.Very strange set.IMO,the band almost lost the crowd midset.I was even getting nervous by LBC.

Stand out tunes..Release,Corduroy,Last Exit,Animal,IBIM,IN MY TREE,LUKIN and Porch...
  12. Nice review, Ed. I'll add it to the archives.
