1. No immortality is certainly one point not in its favor (you break through an open door you know) .. but there is another hundred of very good reasons to increase definetely the pros hehe
  2. I'll make a plan to get it in the summer. I was hoping to find it in a music store (but these stores no longer exist in the city where I reside). I'll have to get to downtown Toronto in July/August - or, of course, simply order it on-line.

Admittedly, I have so many other shows to keep me "busy" for foreseeable future so there is no rush on these.
  3. I dont own the Gorge box set...I bought the mp3's as they were released in 05 and 06...and the artwork is still available on the pjbootstrading site....the 05 gig is fantastic..as are the 2 06 shows....the 06 shows it was 100 degrees out..and fans were passing out from heat exhaustion....

    Todays 2005 Canadian PJ gig.....Quebec City,Quebec......09.20.05....
  4. I think after the 05 Canadian Tour, I will make a Gorge 2006 mix,called simply.... 2 HOT Nights at the Gorge,July 2006
  5. I was considering doing a two-disc mix for the two opening shows in Toronto for that same year. Not too sure if it's really worth it, however. Unlike the Gorge shows, I don;t know if these two would be considered "classic" gigs.

Plus they didn't play "Animal" (or "Immortality," of course)
  6. I'm just finishing up the second time around for the Winnipeg show...not a bad one at all - and they played "Immortality."

All I'll have left (of the 16 Canadian shows, that is) is the two gigs in St. John's.

Obviously, I will listened to the Gorge show from that year (and the two from 2006) and might as well listen to those two NJ shows and the Philly one.
  7. The Philly show from 05 is a classic gig Matt...
  8. 2005 was indeed a good year for PJ performances. I have enjoyed listening to these shows (currently listening to "Black" from Winnipeg). Lots of great tunes from all the albums released to that point. Hate to say it, I feel that most (not all) songs from "Avocado" waters down the set.

    My only two complaints:
    1. Never any "It's Okay" tags at the end of the performances of "Daughter." I have to admit, I have become a bit obsessed with those versions - and surprised how few times it had been played.
    2. A lot of the lesser known songs from Ten were omitted from the tour.- "Garden," "Why Go'" or "Deep" weren't played at all.
  9. I grabbed a bunch of the 2005 tour covers from that site you recommended, Ed. That's some messed up - yet interesting - artwork.
  10. 2 quotes from a later Stone interview ..

“We’re really excited about getting back to Philly, these dates just kind of came up about a week ago it got presented to us and everybody said yes let’s do it. So we’re real excited about doing it, it’s kind of thrilling to play the same weekend as Jay-Z I’ve got to admit I’m pretty excited about that as well.”

the second in the SG thread
  11. As long as Jay-Z doesn't appear as a guest on the upcoming album...
  12. "Its kind of thrilling to play the same weekend as Jay Z"....Really ? Why ? I guess Stone didnt see the clip of Jay Z "singing" with U2 on Bloody Sunday in Berlin...his "Yeah yeah...aight" really added so much...."aight"..wow..hes so talented...

Why does everyone in the music industry, kiss his and his wifes ass so much ? Everyone except Noel of course..lol

I dont think too many PJ fans are thrilled about this..I know Im not going to Philly..and that speaks volumes...its only 90 miles from Manhattan......and this is from someone who gets on planes to see his bands....
