1. A bit of problem has arisen in my quest to see Pearl Jam.

My friend ordered the tickets off a website (I don't actually know the name of the website) and they sent him an email today saying that the order has been cancelled. The reason of this was that they sold too many tickets, so they cancel your order. Very unfortunate. My friend googled this and apparently it happens with every concert they sell tickets for. They get your money and make an interest from it then give your money back because they've made a profit from it. I don't think they actually give all your money back either. So what he done was go onto Ticketmaster, who were selling the tickets that nobody wants anymore. There was General Admission tickets going, so he grabbed some. These tickets were for the 21st of June

We were initally getting a bus down to Manchester on the 20th, then leaving at night on the 21st. But now we have to hire a car and get his brother to drive us there, who is also a fan of Pearl Jam and is going with us. We are driving back after the concert as I have to go to work the next day at 11. I'll be exhausted.

Very frustrating, and disappointing as I kind of wanted to go on the first night of the tour. But at least we are still seeing Pearl Jam, and I will be going the same night as Ed.

Don't worry, I will buy the bootleg for the 20th of June. I will still buy the CD for the 21st as I want it as a souvenir to show that I was there and all.
  2. Although I have listened to both of the 2003 MSG shows a bunch of times, I have yet to actually watch the July 8th one.

I really should - at least on youtube!

    Oh, my....

That's messed up - or is it...?????

Kieran, the "gods" are speaking to you and saying that you should STILL go to Manchester for the show on the 20th and get tix from the leeches, I mean scalpers.

    Don't ever ignore the "gods."
  4. I still have tickets for the 21st, I'm happy about that.

Really, it could be a blessing. The setlist might be longer and better for the second night.

I'd love to go both nights. I mean, if I see tickets for the first night going at face value, I'll be straight onto the phone to my friend and we'll go a day early.
  5. Maybe there'll be a little U2start meet up then
  6. That would be nice.
  7. Possibly.

This actually could be a blessing. There are really good seating tickets on GetMeIn going for £37 each. So I might be going both nights. Might be.
  8. DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just try to avoid any dodgy sites.
  9. I'll do it, it's just upto my friend and his brother. It's really upto them.
  10. I wonder how loud the concert will be. If I'll need earplugs. I hope not.
  11. I see your point...you may get out-voted 2 to 1.

Your powers of persuasion are about to be tested.
  12. Nah, you won't need earplugs.
