1. Trying to bait me aren't you?

The T.O. gig was SO good that PJ felt that EVERYONE should have a chance to listen to it so they gave it away.

...and don't try to use the angle that is "it wasn't good enought to charge people for it"
  2. Hahahaha....I really feel its a great gig.I think the band made a slight mistake releasing that gig for free. And finally put it up for sale months later. ..

If you had to pick one, what gig ?....My NYC gig.?..or your Toronto gig ?....I think we both know our biased answers....lol...I think Ronnie should decide......
  3. I really need to listen to that N2 2010 MSG gig again. I listened to it four or five times earlier this year and thought it was an amazing performance. I can understand why you say that it has the best ever version of "Better Man" - such high-paced intensity in that one.

I agree. We'll leave it with Ronnie to decide.

    No pressure, our Italian friend.

  4. Is that this concert?

Damn, that must be a good boot. Wish I had it :P
  5. yeah that is the concert .. that video was passed on 10c during the countdown to the PJ20 weekend

easy to say no pressure Matt hehehe
Ed you know i have a deep fondness for MSG (already said time ago my dream is to attend a show there) .. that is PJ, U2 or Bruce (i was listening to "The River Show" 8 nov 2009 right this afternoon hehe) ..
and that N2 2010 is for sure one of the best performed there by whoever with the crazy crowd i love.
i have a dvd too of that night
so my choice is clear sorry Matt hehe
however, and i'm not saying just for rebalancing , Toronto 11 N1 is a great one too by both the band and the audience (was impressed first time i listened to it) ... very very high in the ranking of the latest years since lets say 2006
  6. MSG it is...lol....

DMB has had a few epic nights there at MSG as well,so has Radiohead (10.09.03) ...
  7. The place (MSG) is falling apart - it's old.

Now the ACC, that's a fresh new complex.

    Ronnie...Ronnie...Ronnie...

    I'm hurt.

    (Not really)

I'll have to do a track by track comparison and do my best to be objective.

Shall we throw in one of those 2000 or 2006 gigs in Italy to make it interesting?
  8. I just learned that PJ played a show in Vancouver before they began their European tour in 2000. Any idea if this show had an official release?

  9. Is there anything particularly special about this show that it would get a "vault" release?

The setlist looks solid but nothing extraordinary.

Also, any idea what the number "632" represents on the Vault #2 icon represents?
  10. Vancouver was not released...and MSG is getting a major facelift...most of the lower section was completed by Oct of last year..by this Oct it will be complete.

Ronnie knows PJs Italian gigs from 2000 and 2006 were some of,if not the best, of both those tours....to compare a show from 2000 to say..2010 doesnt really make sense IMO...just too far apart..thats why I chose Toronto and MSG....those 2 are really 2 of the best gigs the band have played in the last few years..Philly 2009 would have to be considered as well...the Halloween gig (10.31.09) from there is amazing...maybe we should put that gig up against a show Matt ?? From say...2009-2011
  11. In the end, I just feel ANOTHER mix coming on...that greatest performances one (2008-2011/12) one we were talking about a few months ago.

I still have yet to listen to all of those great 2009 shows!

It's on my summer to do list.

the particularity i can only see it's the charm of the venue maybe
the rumors comes from amazon.ca who "has" it in pre-order giving 10 jul as released date .. nothing else

i don't have any clue about that number
